Do you remember that bears 24-0 victory in 1986? I still remember experts were saying that Dickerson would be a huge factor lol.

I think that the division is up for grabs so definitely worth a shot

I honestly haven't looked at futures much this year but a few that stand out as "no bet" for me

Niners and Eagles + 800 gimme a fukkin break
Jets +1600 I mean I guess they have a shot but I would want more like +2500

Bets that I think are interesting

Broncos +5000
Seahawks +2800

I think the NFC is more of a crapshoot so if you play a decent number and somehow make it to the SB you can at least hedge. AFC I think it's the Chiefs again so maybe play Chiefs +650 plus a few NFC teams with fat numbers and a good team/weak div.

I'd narrow the four teams down to the one team that what you think offers you the best value.
Or at most one AFC team and one NFC team, but even still I don't want to be bogged down with multiple team futures.

Let's suppose, just supposing mind you, if Herbert and Mike Williams and Keenan Allen and Ekeler all do what they are capable of doing while staying healthy most of the season, then you would have to strongly consider the Chargers as a serious playoff threat.

Chargers are pretty much even money just to make the playoffs (-120)
I personally like that bet, but then again I personally like root canals too.

I think Goff is far far better than he will probably ever get credit for and I like him. Really good QB immho. However, I'm in Detroit and this is a hype-train worse than the Barry Sanders era. They sold out every single game before the season started for the first time in history. If I know my Lions, this is were they come back down to Earth and have a difficult year on a 2nd place schedule too. Not 4th place. They added a lot in the secondary that was impressive, but I'm just not convinced. They can prove me wrong that's where I'm at.

100% correct! Fans think defense is boring and its not good for fantasy ball. I pretty much retired from fantasy after playing in high stakes leagues for many years. Plus, that TV ad money will get more watchers if its more exciting. So, they keep the big name players safe and on the field. The QB personal foul penalties have become outrageous and ridiculous.

If they want to get real, then they need to start having challenges on penalties including personal fouls on Qb's. And, while they are at it - how about defensive holding just being a 5 yard penalty and not an automatic first down. They could do a few things to give the defenses more of a chance.

Offense sells tickets just like HR do in baseball. But I've always been a believer that a QB can do nothing on his back, so you are 100% correct the league wants to keep them upright with an hour to throw the ball.

When a team comes out with a new offense or something new on that side of the ball, and it's very successful everyone else wants to duplicate it. Think west coast offense.
Then you here the TV announcers say, you can't stop that, or how do you stop that.... Thats when I yell at the TV with, penetration you dumbazz. You put the QB on his butt before he can do anything. It stops any offense, but the refs and the league are all about the offense and they make it very hard on a defense.

Yes! Winning the division is a solid play - Det, Minn, & Chi not scaring anyone. Pack very young w/ major cap restrictions this year - Any playoff wins would be gravy!
