The Bundesliga kicks off with Bayern Munich seeking a 12th straight League title. Harry Kane has only just arrived , but i expect to see him play a starting role alongside Gnabry , Coman , Sane , Kimmich etal. Werder Bremen are one of the lesser lights of the league @ an estimated $99 million in transfer value. Bayern are tops @ $981 million. Both teams lost cup games 6 days ago , though Werder Bremen's was a 3 - 2 loss @ Div 3 Victoria Koln. This should be a one sided encounter from start to finish.

Real Madrid were getting a bit long in the tooth and needed an injection of youth and pace. Enter Bellingham , whom they acquired from Dortmund , to serve as link up man to a revitalized midfield. I think they are a notch better then last season and should once again vie for La Liga title. Almeria are a season removed from 2nd Division football and should see very little of the possession today. The fact that Real Madrid are worth 10x the amount of Almeria should play out in the 2nd half as Real Madrid can draw on a star studded bench

Farense are newly promoted from League 2 , where they finished 2nd. Porto finished 2nd in the Super League to arch rival Benfica. Portuguese football has traditionally been a 2 horse race between Benfica and Porto , with a recent surgence from Sporting Lisbon. Porto lost the Super Cup 2 - 0 to Benfica and followed up with a 2 - 1 road win at 2nd Div winner Moriense ( dominated the stat board as well ). Porto are rested and have no other engagements in the near future. Farense lost their home opener 0 - 3 to mid table Casa Pia. They are a minnow in terms of proceeds available , with a huge disparity of $9 mill to Porto's $309 mill. Fairy tales have David beating Goliath , but in the real world , the beasts beat up the skinny kids.

68% Possession 1st hlf , with a 1 - 0 lead , they allow an injury time goal on the counter. Farense had only that 1 shot on goal for the entire game , vs 26 total shots by Porto. Sometimes SH*T just happens

I never bet unders. How sad is it to cheer for nothing to happen. I prefer to look for offensive minded leagues ( England , Germany , France , Netherlands etc ) where goals are the norm.
