Done deal. Not sure what it means for Dallas but good for Lance to move on I would think.

#1Trey Lance to Dallas for a 4th round pickTags: None -
#2Has a top pick ever got less of a chance to play for the team that drafted them?Comment -
-
#4I would start him over DakComment -
#5As a 49ers fan, I wouldn't have traded him to the Cowboys, and I would have wanted more than a 4th round pick for him.Comment -
#6
Just because the Niners overpaid for him in the draft doesn't mean the next team should pick up the tab.Comment -
#7All the NDSU QB's get drafted with all the hype and they all flop....
Wentz, Stick, Lance....
They all suck...Comment -
#8Cooper Rush is better than Dak and Trey or am I crazy?
The guy is named Trey for a reason he is a third stringer!!!
Trey and Carson should be paying NDSU a ton of money for blinding folks
I would of took Wentz if I was the Cowcunts you could get him for a hunting gun and some Nachos and he will preform better than Trey and Dak.Last edited by 2Sweeet; 08-25-23, 11:22 PM.Comment -
#9OBV u never seen him in the shower. Guy must have a huge coccck.. Hes only thrown like 500 passes since he was 12. Good for him. He got paid and u no he gets laidComment -
#10that dude couldn't play deadComment -
#11I doubt people were lining up with better offers. He wanted to go somewhere that he could be the backup and apparently Dallas felt they could offer that or he would have stayed in SF. Now the new topic can be what that means for Prescott and open some eyes to the fact that Rush is in no plans for them, he just maintained the fort just well enough. Glad Trey is out of SF so the media can stop beating that dead horse over and over.Comment -
#12Has a top qb pick ever really been selected to a team that was so ready to win as he was? Golden chance and all but you don't just stunt your team for the sake of playing him. They forced the issue last year because they felt they could not count on Jimmy and then Trey gets hurt. By sheer luck they stumble on a late round gem at qb who runs the offense with no issues and takes care of the ball. Why waste the last remaining years of guys like Trent Williams and Kittle hoping that Lance "figures it out" when he's played less football than any qb in the league.Comment -
#13I dont trust Cooper Rush at all, makes sense for DallasComment -
#14Better QB than what Dallas has now. Good move.Comment -
#15I've always said that small college QB's aren't ready for the top competition on the NFL. The game is lightning fast at the top level. You just don't see those type of defenses at NDSU.Comment -
#16I think Lance only started one year in college as well. At least start 3-4 years so you have a lot of football and reps under your belt.Comment -

Wonder how everything would have evolved had they taken Fields instead.Comment -
#19I wonder if cowboys think he will replace dak down the road or just taking a flierComment -

Do you consider a MAC school like Miami Ohio or Eastern Illinois a small program?
The MAC isn't a power five conference but it's still D1.
And those two aforementioned teams produced Hall of Fame QB's in Tony Romo and Big Ben.
Not a Hall of Famer, and probably never will be but didn't Jimmy Gee play for E. Ill. as well?
Other small programs that produced QB's that had nice NFL careers that come to mind.
Bradshaw - La. Tech
Staubach - Navy
Fitzy - Harvard
Not to mention my personal all time favorite, Phil Simms, the pride of the Morehead State Screaming Eagles
Actually it's just the plain old Morehead State Eagles, I threw in the 'Screaming" part for dramatic effect.
Simms had a tidy NFL career, huh?
He made John Elway his personal meat puppet in that Bronco SB rout.
He holds nineteen NYG team records in fifteen pro NYG seasons, more than any other NYG in history, including Elii.
Yet there are some that say he doesn't belong in the Hall.Comment -
#22Dallas scored. Kid is 23 and if nothing else, a trade investment.Comment -
#23I pretty much share the same sentiment, but there are exceptions to that rule.

#25Everybody forgetting about Ole Joe Flacco! I think he played in D-3 and won a Super Bowl and was always a Brady (one of very few) nemesis in the playoffs. Ole Joe Flacco is the best non-D1 QB of all time perhaps.Comment -
#26Well geez, we've rattled off enough small school gamers at this point, I think it's safe to say we've just about debunked Klemopixx's statement.Comment -
#27Dak sucks. Need to dump that lemon. Cowboys will never make it to the Superbowl with Dak Prescott. That's all I know.Comment
