If he doesn't get hurt he has a shot. Peterson won in 2012, Tomlinson in 2006 and Alexander in 2005 so it's been done before. Long shot but but worth it at +2000 imo.

...Four TD last game. Can he get to 20+? Why not?
Tua will surely continue to put up huge #s. But WHEN is the injury coming?Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#7If 49ers would some how go undefeated this reg season who do u think wins the MVP? That's the better ? CMC has no shot winning this award even if it was 1999Comment -
#8Purdy +2200, 6 QBs with shorter odds. Allen the favorite +380. Healthy CMC along with SF #1 seed may give it to CMC.
Purdy is replaceable on SF. In the last game he was near perfect but before that he missed a lot of passes. PFF ranks Purdy the 17th QB.Last edited by raiders72001; 10-03-23, 10:42 PM.Comment -
#9Peterson, 131 yds R/G, 11 rec yds/game, 12 TD rushing, 1 TD rec. MVP year.
CMC , 114 yds, 35 rec, 6 TDs, 1 TD so far in 4 games.
One thing that could hurt is if they cut down his use. He's on pace for just short of 2,000 yds rushing. If he somehow hit that milestone, it would be tough to deny him MVP. Still a definite longshot.Last edited by raiders72001; 10-03-23, 10:56 PM.Comment -
#10I like it, Raid. How do you see the dal/sf game goin?Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -
#11I have SF #1 along with everyone else followed by Buf, KC, Dallas.
Betting line value:
SF 0
Buf .5
KC 1
Dallas 2
Not sure what Von Miller has left in the tank but with him returning I can see Buf jumping SF.
To SF/Dal with home field advantage factored in that Dallas line is pretty tight. Would be all over SF at 2.5. As is I'm letting my SF ML rollover. Every year I pick a team and ML parlay for 10 games to the whole year. Planning 10 with SF. Not the best money management but I make this fun bet every year. Posted about doing this with SF in another thread here.Last edited by raiders72001; 10-03-23, 11:42 PM.Comment -

#16NY Post todayChristian McCaffrey’s white-hot start to the 2023 season has him on the radar of oddsmakers everywhere. After another dominant performance on Sunday, the 49ers running back is the clear favorite at +210 (BetMGM) to win the Offensive Player of the Year award.
McCaffrey has 459 rushing yards, 141 receiving yards and seven total touchdowns through four games, helping lead San Francisco to a 4-0 start
Competition for the award is shaping up to be a three-horse race, with only the Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill and the Vikings’ Justin Jefferson (both +550) having odds better than +2000.
McCaffrey, who was traded to the 49ers from the Carolina Panthers midseason last year, entered Week 4 tied with Hill atop the odds board at +475, but a monster game helped him pull away.
The Stanford alum ran for 106 yards and three touchdowns while also catching seven passes for 71 yards and another trip into the end zone during a 35-16 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
The Offensive Player of the Year award traditionally goes to a non-quarterback but McCaffrey’s play has him in the conversation of something unthinkable: Winning the MVP as a running back.
The NFL MVP award is all but a quarterback’s award. Only three players — Adrian Peterson in 2012, LaDainian Tomlinson in 2005 and Shaun Alexander in 2004 — have won the award as a non-quarterback over the past 20 seasons.
Over the past five seasons, only Rams receiver Cooper Kupp in 2021 has received a first-place MVP vote as a non-quarterback.
After opening the season at +8000 to win the award, McCaffrey is now down to +1400, the sixth-best odds in the NFL at BetMGM, to be the 2023 MVP.
Trailing five quarterbacks, McCaffrey is still a long shot, to be sure, but he’s the engine of a powerhouse 49ers offense.
And his 2023 season is already entering all-time territory.
On Sunday, he became just the third player in NFL history with 600+ yards from scrimmage and seven or more touchdowns through his team’s first four games.
McCaffrey has also scored a touchdown in 13 straight games, a franchise record and tied for the third-longest streak in NFL history.
If he can stay healthy all season, McCaffrey will be in the conversation until the very end.Comment -
#17It’s a good play, doesn’t he have a td streak of 14 games?Comment -
#18White boy is solid. Probably the BEST white running back in NFL history and maybe in the league this year.
I thought I'd never see it. White power! ; )
+2000 I'm in on the future! Just hope he stays healthy.Comment -
#19Naw, 49ers offense has too many weapons and trust them to keep heavily relying on CMC every game.Comment -

#21CMC playing out of his mind right now, his vision and foot work has really evolved, and even looks like he’s avoiding big hits or plays he previously would have fought for yards and got hurt. Definitely deserves mvp right now
Mahomes, much like Michael Jordan, could be MVP every year, but they have to give it to someone else occasionallyComment -
#22Like it. Gave it a play on HeritageComment
