Browns Deshaun Watson did not throw in practice today

Mac, that's a great post. I heard the same thing:

1) The Browns went out of their way to revive this guy's career.
2) They are paying him a KING'S RANSOM. Actually, 10x a King's Ransom.
3) Report I heard last week was that the medical staff cleared him to play:
...Defense is playing their balls off. Possibly the best Browns team since they re-formed.
...Key Divisional game. Obvious Division/Playoff implications.
...Watson decides to personally not go. Puts the rookie DTR in a very tough spot against a rugged defense. Guy wasn't prepared for that test, and the team got blown out.

Other than that, Watson's a great guy. GMAFB.

More than likely the injury is more serious than what's been reported, not Watson refusing to play.

Stefanski said in his presser Watson decided to not go an hour before kickoff. WTF, talk about being blindsided? Something is definitely going on with the two of them. Could be a power move by Watson.

I dunno... It doesn't add up. There's no incentive for him to hold out. He's been paid far above his production, and if he didn't throw today then there's something to the injury angle. If everyone in the organization knows he's healthy and he simply doesn't play, then they can legally reclaim the money they're paying him to do just that.

It sure looks that way, if you watch their games. Every big play the refs call holding or some other shit. It’s unreal. They called Amari Cooper out of bounds when he was 2 feet, clearly in bounds, when he should have had an easy TD.

Yeah but do a few "car payments" equal the as you already lost? Browns might be better off not letting him play because he's going to take a beating either way. DTR stunk it up but watson isnt exactly balling out either and hasn't played against a team with both offense and defense yet.

Keep an eye on the #. If Watson sits, there's a chance the Browns will be +7. And the Defense is allowing < 200 ypg!

Watson is a disgrace to the Dawg Pound. I think back to the final game b4 the original Browns moved to Baltimore. The players were diving into the stands.
