I would classify that as a printing error although that might not be the correct term assuming the info is correct, it is just slightly off centered. My guess is that the card's value would not go up because of this.

Too many people pay for the grade not the card.
Rather have the rarer PSA 9 than a common card PSA 10 of the same player especially modern cards.

Especially since PSA 10s are not perfect.

I crossed over BGS's 9s to PSA 10s.
Difference can be. $10k to $35k.

Think about that. Same card.

Some older cards. All have a few flaws for certain....

The Reggie 10 in upper right is not a grade. LOL. It's a estimated price about 30 years ago. 10 bucks. The GB card the case I scratched with a knife to get the sticker off of it. Its not banged up its the case but it still has issues.

Iga got her first auto cards in Goodwin.
Been waiting for a while for her cards.

NBA market is so bad is players can score 50 points every game and their cards won't go up.

I've thought about collecting more rare coins. Got a few. They are cool to look at and touch for sure. Real part of US history!

That's all I got. No cards for this guy.

I have that card, but mine is in poor condition and not autographed. Back in the 80's my brother and I used to mail cards to the stadiums c/o the player we were hoping to receive autographs from. We'd send one card in a sleeve protected with a Donruss puzzle piece card along with a handwritten letter. We only received a handful back from the dozens sent. I remember in 1985 Oddibe McDowell and Teddy Higuera responded back to both of us. Good times.

I have a garage sale story with rare rookie cards in a shoe box to tell. I could shoot myself today in the head for what I did as a 14 year old punk kid.

The story -

I gathered many Topps playing cards and others. Especially rookie cards for the Dallas Cowboys as a kid. Other famous name rookie cards as well. I filled up an entire shoe box full of cards. Keep in mind I'm 55 years old today and 14 years old back then. Some of the TOPPS cards were passed down to me from my father also. So at age 14 my mother and siblings had a front yard garage sale, sure enough I brought out my shoe box full of old and new player cards. Put a sale tag for $20 for the entire box of players cards.

Sure enough they sold immediately, the old guy couldn't get off my lawn fast enough after buying them, but I had a $20 bill in my hand. I was happy as can be as a kid back then. A few years later I grew up and understood what a mistake I made.

Today I am angry as hell for doing that. Today all those player cards I had would probably be worth a small fortune if I had kept them in good shape.. Errrrr!

TRUE STORY! Had a couple of these if I remember correctly.

The Garvey Rook gets a lot of attention from 1971. Fan favorite.

Not really but if you get the jersey # of the player then it commands a bit more.

I guess a penny in 1797 went a long way in Britain. Lol..

American copper penny was still small in that same time frame but retro with the flowing hair. This was a real American penny coin back in the day.

Just bought a couple Mario rookies. Don't think I ever had the OPC rook b4.

Some of the prices on hi-end items are too low. Precursor to a recession? Collectors liquidating their items to pay for bills?

I spoke to a collector-friend of mine. He says that a lot of dealers are underwater to the tune of 60%+. IE, they might be holding $40,000 current market value on items they paid $100,000 for.

If you want a mid-grade Gretzky rookie, can find one for $1000 to $1200. This is too low (IMHO).

I scout out bargains on Holy Grail cards like:
*1969 Alcindor
*1979 Gretzky
*1980 Bird/Magic

...If the prices look too low to me, I'm not afraid to Buy.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?
