San Francisco: 53f, steady light rain all afternoon giving way to spotty rain at game time, winds 10-20mph.

I'm laying the chalk today. This is typically when the cream rises to the top and we separate the men from the boys. Both dawgs get drilled today. these are two different animals that the Texans and Packers are playing today. Both #1 seeds that are well rested and healthy. Baltimore obliterated just about every team at home this year and I believe they come out razor sharp and focused. I also think the Texans had a very good season and especially CJ Stroud (who will win rookie of the year hands down) but they too have been very inconsistent and I think this is the game where the Texans will sorely miss WR Tank Dell. Ravens win 34 -17. the San Fran game reminds me very much of a similar spot earlier in the year when the niners were reelin' and then had the bye week. they got fully healthy and then proceeded to go into Jacksonville against a red hot Jaguar team and totally bitchslap them in the face 34 - 3. then they too went a mini hot streak destroying teams in their path before cooling off at the end. (primarily because guys were banged up). but now once again at full strength, I expect Jordan Love to come back down to earth and I think the niners defense will stuff the Packers run game and force Love to beat them with his arm. this is not going to be a cakewalk and an impotent and flaccid team that laid down like the Cowboys did last week. 49'ers win 31 - 14.

I bet it earlier in the week. Bad timing on my part. Yuck.

My thinking was that this is gonna have to be won on Stroud's arm. If anything, Singletary might find success in the pass game more so than the rush, especially with HOU's wounded receiving corps.

The total on the Ravens game move 1.5 points for most of the week, although it did return a tick.

Numbers are sharp, not a ton of meat on the bone. Oddsmakers only have four games to focus on so they're not gonna make any egregious errors.

I think he did Pavy but to be totally honest with you I didn't read his thread until today so I wasn't aware of it until after the fact. I even mentioned it in a response to him! and told him why in the hell didn't he just bet the (-9.5) at standard juice if he was that confident in his prediction.
