Books definitely take advantage of Punters on these type bets. Next year, try wagering your team moneyline every round and pressing your bet. You'll get much better odds should they cut down the nets. You'll also have an out anytime you want to cut and run with the profits. Say final 4 or so.
Hey Johnny...please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you just get done bashing Eddy for doing a futures prop wager not too long ago (Lamar Jackson winning the MVP was his bet) and now here you are doing the same exact thing?!...
I hate futures bets but this one looks like decent value, UNC are as good as anyone right now.
Plus they have the best guard in the country, and the most experience of any team. It was a good bet but I just didn't want to see this coming from Johnny at this point.

Yes, I agree. One other hidden factor that plays into John's bet:
*The committee has been helping Duke/NoCarol for decades.
...Is there any chance NoCarol doesn't start in the Charlotte pod?
...The home-state games have benefited Duke/NoCarol for years. Like two de-facto home games.
...The pod system allowed the teams to play locally for two games b4 shipping out to the Regional.

Not sure what u mean by jump on grenade but they didn’t need the game
what Charles is implying is that UNC "tanked" the game on purpose so the ACC could get another team in the tournament. to be more specific and rather blunt about it, the only way the wolfpack make the tournament is if they won the ACC championship and beat the Heels. UNC was in regardless. they didn't need the game. (that was the whole point). Other conferences have been doing the same thing for years. it's kind of like circumventing the system to make your conference look good. why? more teams in the field = more money for your conference! you can make a very similar argument for the soon to be defunct Pac-12 conference. Oregon beating Colorado last night ensured the Ducks make field, (IMO, Colorado is a lock despite what other bracketologists say)

Arizona lost as well if there was any doubt left for the one seed
I think Arizona is as good bet as any at +1000 or better. Arizona, Houston... but maybe I'll bet Tar Heels just because they're AWESOME AT EVERYTHING MAN
