Pittsburgh Steelers odds to win Super Bowl LIX are +4100
    at FanDuel right now.

Here me out. I am not saying they will win. Lots can, and will, happen between now and February.

They are 5-2. Likely will be 6-2 after tonight.
The have a really good defense. T.J. Watt is one of the best in the NFL.
    Their running game is solid.
    Their TE is above average.
They have a sold WR group including a super star in Pickens.
One of the best HC's in the NFL

    - now the wildcard. The Quarterbacks. Russel Wilson and Justin Fields. While Fields doesn't look all that impressive for a lot of the game, he does have his moments. Sometimes many good ones. Not a bad back up. My Dolphins would have won a couple of games while Tua was out if he was on their roster. So you have that insurance if Wilson goes down.

Russel Wilson. What happened to him? Just a couple years ago he signed a huge contact and went to Denver. He got his own personal parking spot and was gonna win super bowls again. Did he get to fat in the head thinking it would be a walk the park? Who knows, but it was a disaster. But he was pretty fukking good just a couple year before. He's won a Superbowl and should have won a second one if they just handed the ball off at the goal line to Beast Mode.

Ok so he is named the starter last week after Fields was 4-2. Many people thought this was a bad move. I admit, I was kinda skeptical. I was thinking one of two things. He would suck or be ok at best, or he would be pretty good. Turns out he was excellent. Ya one game I know.

Maybe tonight he bombs and its back to the old Wilson of the last 2 seasons, they lose at home against the NYG,,he throws 4 int's, he ends up getting a concussion, and they get shut out. Or maybe, just maybe, he is back, for whatever reason and he continues to play like he did in Seattle all those years. If he does, then why couldn't this team go to the Superbowl?

    Betting $200 to win $8400

Wilson threw a pick on the goal line to lose the Super Bowl instead of checking to a run... maybe just trying to keep it himself or maybe refusing to throw the ball somewhere safer instead of towards the middle of the defense

he will NEVER be in another Super Bowl.

Hey, Dwight. Not criticizing your play. Will give just one counter-argument.

Before the season I viewed the Steeler schedule as very back-loaded. They needed this type of start to make the playoffs. Look at their final eight games and see how many easy wins you count. Granted, the Browns are a lot worse than expected.

GL Dwight. 41-1 shots don’t have to win that often to be profitable.

I'd rather take 125:1 Browns to win the division. Just as impossible, but better odds and will pay faster

hey, criticize the play if ya want. We are all men here.

By no means I am saying that this bet will hit but if Wilson is back to his former self, they have a good solid foundation to win games. Now, if they lose tonight, then I may have wasted 200, but if they win, those odds will go down to 3000 or 2000 maybe.
yes, lots of divisional games and a tough one in Philly. The game against KC on xmas might be one where the Chiefs have clinched and sit a few regulars. Maybe too early but if KC are 15-0 or 14-1, who knows. Same with their last game for difference reasons.

Tons of football to be played. Injuries will play a role. Could turn out to be a hedge bet if they get into the post season.

Jameis Winston is a good QB. He can look fantastic at times but also terrible. Many times, both things in the same game. Their defense is solid for sure. Having Chubb back good mean good things if he can be close to what he was all these years before his injury. Even $10 on @125:1 is worth it if you think it can happen.

This time of the year there are some interesting lines out their for futures. If you guess right, you can make a few bucks.

Salud, Dwight. Of course, I'll be rooting for you.

There is that scheduling issue. Win tonite, get to 6-2. WASH is now a >.500 team.

Who knows on the Browns? Rest of that schedule is menacing. It's pro football, so Who Knows?

You play Jameis over Watson moving forward and just eat the dead cap money.

Wilson needed one of the best secondaries in NFL history to make the Super Bowl; the Steelers' D is good but it's not that good. IMO, bad value even at 41/1.

Its possible but they are clearly the better team tonight. They could easily be up 28 points.

They looked awesome the first 2 drives but penalties cost them. Then Pickens couldn't get that 2nd foot in. I still can't believe he didn't. The running game has been great and Wilson looks really really good. The D, rock solid.

ya next weekend in Washington should be a great game. Big test for the Steelers' D. Didn't see this game as two 6-2 teams before the season started but here we are (unless the NYG make an unbelievable comeback)

Very nice, Dwight. I never question someone's play. Things happen.

I definitely didn't see WASH emerging like this. Maybe an element of playing into a soft schedule. But it's also damning of the previous Chico Rivera regime.

WASH is enough of a threat that they might crimp ambitions of Phi (or Dal). Much harder to come thru the wildcard route in the current NFL playoff format. Tomlin has amazed me, I really thought this was the year that they'd drop off.

These are always compelling arguments, but in the end just take Cheats +200 to win the AFC. Come MLK Junior Day, they will sit at a nice -200 to win the AFC... Everybody always looked for the value against Brady. The value was to take him at a + number anytime and everytime. Same for Mahomes.

I will be shocked if they don't beat Baltimore once this year. Those division games for all in that division are a dog players delight.

                                              - now the wildcard. The Quarterbacks. Russel Wilson and Justin Fields. While Fields doesn't look all that impressive for a lot of the game, he does have his moments. Sometime many good ones. Not a bad back up. My Dolphins would have won a couple of games while Tua was out if he was on their roster. So you have that insurance if Wilson goes down.

Russel Wilson. What happened to him? Just a couple years ago he sighed a huge contact and went to Denver. He got his own person parking spot and was gonna win super bowls again. Did he get to fat in the head thinking it would be a walking the park? Who knows but it was a disaster. But he was pretty fukking good still just a couple year before.

Maybe tonight he bombs and its back to the old Wilson of the last 2 seasons and they lose at home against the NYG and he throws 4 int's and he end up getting a concussion and they get shut out. Or maybe, just maybe, he is back, for whatever reason and he continues to play like he did in Seattle all those years. If he does, then why could this team go to the Superbowl?

Like the angle. My only concern is the Steelers really played no1 good. I can see them fighting for a Wildcard spot come week 17. This team isn't as good as people think.

it is a decent play. I would say they are guaranteed a playoff spot, if not a home playoff game. Perhaps home field throughout! I think if you're going to play a future now is time. If they start racking up wins, & other contenders start to stumble those odds are going to drop considerably. If Wilson is the real deal the sky's the limit.
