Mac, you have great knowledge. Hope you have a great +$ year on your NBA plays/Futures.

One comment on the Offensive Efficiency: *I do think 3-pt shooters just get better over time.
...If you back to the early 80s, the 3-pt shot wasn't very effective.
...So much $$ in the game now. The great shooters practice daily and hit a very hi % of their open shots.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

Technology has helped a bunch. Kids are training on shooting machines that can tell you the angle, velocity, etc., on your shot.. Imagine getting 300 shots in 20 minutes, 3 X a day. It’s all about the reps. I have one in my backyard

Basketball has turned into a middle to upper class sport. You just don’t see kids coming from the inner city. It takes money to get specialized training that is critical. You are way behind if you don’t have money to get access.

Nets should have beat the Celtics last night. Lost in OT and scrapped and scraped with the Cavs tonight. I like the Nets coach. That team is going to be a good one. They have like 3 key guys out injured too.

I'm fortunate, I'm in New England pretty much halfway between NYC and Boston, so I get both markets including Brooklyn, so I watch the Nets sometimes. Here's the Brooklyn problem, I like the two Cam's and Schroder is a nice PG. after that they're about deep as a puddle.
Claxton could be a top eight NBA center, but can't be trusted because he's fragile and gets hurt, but Claxton when healthy is as good as say Ayton is.

Spot on. I don’t get why Claxton hasn’t gotten bigger/ stronger. He could be a beast if he got in the weight room. DFS is such an anomaly for me. You never know what you’re going to get out of him. That’s the position that needs an All Star level guy. Bogdanovich will help once he comes back.

The coach has them playing full court defense. Teams aren’t used to that FIBA style of play. Can they keep it up every other night or will they wear out? I don’t think it’s sustainable but we’ll see.

I was going to say Finney-Smith is squirrely, but he's a decent rebounder.

                        Yeah.

Nasher - Some great games this evening in the Association. GSW vs OKC is must see for me. Celtics vs Bucks with the Cs a bit banged up, no Brown. Knicks/Pacers, Kings/Suns, Mavs/Nuggets. NBA league Pass is really a great value.

I had NBA Pass, last year our content provider dropped it, I just got it back, we're YouTube TV now.

I'm in a major Best Ball season league, fantasy hoops is great because I can keep up with say a Tyrus Jones in Arizona for instance.

Yeah, it’s well worth the price for fantasy alone.

Chet Holmgren goes down with an injury. GSW wins a tight one. One thing you can’t cap is injuries.

OMG - Chet Holmgren will be reevaluated in 8 to 10 weeks with a broken pelvis. That is awful. He won’t be evaluated for a couple months. That means he’s out for at least 3 months. Unreal…

                                          Donovan Mitchell can't miss tonight.
22 points in the first 15 minutes.
                                          He's on a 76-point pace.
That's unrealistic, but a 44-point night give or take I can see happening.

Blistering start in this game, 70 points combined first quarter.

Amazing thing to me is the Cavs have went over their team total every first quarter. Finally starting to see 30s. Will be interesting to see where this goes if they finally lose a game.

LaVine is back 100 percent, when Chicago has their starting five intact, they can beat any team on any given night.
Giddey, LaVine. and Coby White all are capable of stuffing the stat sheet.
Vucevic is a criminally underrated center, after the usual first tier center suspects, Embid, Joker, et al, I believe Vucevic is at the top, or near the top of the second tier centers.

I'd rather go to war with Vucevic than Bam, mind you I wouldn't mind Bam as my starting center.

Chet Holmgren will be reevaluated in 8 to 10 weeks with a broken pelvis.
                                                Brutal.

Those pelvic and groin injuries are brutal for any athlete, in any sport, individual or team events.
I was a catcher (12 years, starting from age eight in Little League, all the way through HS and up to my junior year in college.

I've been concussed multiple times, bones broken by foul tips and shattered bats...
You ever try to catch nine innings with a pulled groin, or worse, it can't be done unless you're completely impervious to pain.
That's a humongous loss to OKC. their top three centers on the depth chart (Holmgren, Hartenstein, and Jay Williams) are all on the shelf, Thunder have to go to war now with Pat William and Dieng in the middle until after the New Year.

OKC had to know when they signed Hartenstein from NYK that he was prone to injuries, he can't help himself, he likes to grind down low.
That Knicks KAT deal is looking more and more like a stroke a genius.

Getting back to what I was saying about Vucevic, he's in his 15th year now, do you realize Vucevic averages 70 games played a year, every year since after his rookie year, the man in indestructible.

As much as I love Jokic and Vucevic, my guy has always been Sabonis, Sabonis is in his tenth year now, he's indestructible like Vucevic as well, Sabonis has averaged about 66 games a season, every season.

That's amazing considering a lot of the big men, Porzingis, Embid, etc. can't stay off of the IR.

Great game in OKC tonight. Every time I think the Clippers are done, they keep fighting back. Zubac is an underrated center as well.

Clippers got screwed by the refs down the stretch here. Ricky tack gave SGA FTs and Harden got fouled by Dort and no call. OKC wins. Great game.

Finally ahead of PHI for 3rd in the East. They just might have to start 16-0 winning in BOS to "finally" leapfrog NYY. Not that any of this matters this early but the disrespect is beyond blatant at this point.

Which player so far is this season's (minimum of six game starts) worst rim protector/defender.

Yeah, I was taken aback some when I read that.
When I think of KAT, it's usually that of a guy who'll get you 20+/10+ night in and night out for the past decade.

KAT will never make any sportswriter's DPOY list, but I don't think he's an atrocious defender either.
It's still very early in this current campaign, and if anybody can straighten this out it's Thibadeau, but these numbers are beyond disturbing.

To date, opponents have converted 32 of 35 shots taken in the 'restricted zone' with KAT defending, 91 percent if you will.

                                                                        Small sample size? Yes.
