Loved Rocky! A nine time all-star. Can you find him?

He is right where he belongs. Surrounded by HOF'ers all around his card.

Rest In Peace sir and thank you for the memories. What a player!

My eyesight isn't what it once was.

Merv Rettunmund died the other day as well.

And I just read one of my all-time favorite players, Ryne Sandberg's prostate cancer has relapsed.
          Sad.

WOW. A childhood memory. WaaaaaY back in the day, probably mid 60's (Red Sox Sucked) my friend and I spent 5 minutes with him beside the visitors dugout. He was unbelievable and gave me a bat. To a young boy that thing was a treasure and huge 34/35. I used that sucker until It was worn and broken despite many coaches telling me I'd do way better with a lighter more suited bat. Hit .424 in the Babe Ruth league (15/16 yr old) with that guy before it finally died.

He always stuck with me as a caring man!!

You know, the Sox sucked back in those days. My dad took me to Bob Mombougette no hitter. I think 965 attendees. Made me leave in the 7th to avoid the traffic.

              Looong time ago.

A bat back then was like gold.
And Bill Monboquette is in that frame from 64.
The golf ball trophy is blocking some of his picture.

It wasn't so much the bat, although that was awesome, it was the time he spent with us. Was probably 30 secs but seemed like a lifetime.

I have 5 HOF stories about my dad leaving early, but hey he brought me. One comical one was leaving a Bruins game early, I guess you need to understand parking back then, but we were early. They gave us premier parking in the back of the lot. Little did my dad understand first in, last out. He had us leave early and we sat for 2 hours in 10 degrees waiting to get out. I think we listened to the last period on the radio before the car battery wore out. LOL
