He's the Single-Season Sack Leader. And then he isn't.

a) Nobody cares what happened 30 + years ago.
b) Both of them need to grow up and get over it already.

Gastineau seems to believe that with the record he deserves to get into the HoF. All of his teammates said he was a one dimensional and selfish player. Old Bill, this was the last game of the season. 2001. Right before the play you can see Favre and Strahan talking. Word is: the play called was a run but Favre kept it. However, a receiver does go out for a route on the play so who knows on that front. Gastineau was on the sideline for this game so the NFL could potentially have a moment between the two, they did. And in that moment Gastineau seemed genuinely happy. However, once he saw the play and once the narrative became that Favre laid down, that's when it turned soured.Comment -
