Christmas Day is almost here and we've got a fun staking game lined up for the NFL and NBA action on December 25th. Free to play for all SBR members with $500 in prizes to the top 3 finishers.


How the game works:

You are staked with 1,000 game points to begin. You may wager your points as you wish across the 2 NFL games and 5 NBA games on Christmas Day.

Winning bets will add points to your total, which can then be re-wagered on any active markets.

The three players with the most points at the end of the night will share in the guaranteed prize pool. In the event of a tie, prizes will be split evenly among tied players.

fun contest but it seems you should have allowed parlays so whoever doubles up an all-in on likely td or somethin doesnt get an easy win by just doubling up another time or two after that.

Why do you think that Frank? And does it matter anyway? Doesn't affect you or give anyone else an advantage to have picked before you do.

Some bets might not even get graded before the day is over. I think that happened in the 1st round CFP contest.

Reached out to the contest provider. All bets for the completed NBA game are now graded. The TD bets in Chiefs/Steelers will be graded at the end of the game.

This is such fuk’in bullshit! I got a Derrick Henry anytime TD. He scored in the 1st Qtr. It’s now half time and I’m still waiting on the bet to be settled! How can you justify this be a fair contest when participants not able to bet on the next option?

Start of the 3rd Qtr. Derrick Henry anytime TD Still not graded. Fuk this waste of time bs. At this point if I was in the top three, I’d just sit on my ass and collect a prize, not need to worry about anyone else catching you. And how convenient, the top 3 are all tied.

You’d been better off to run it like you do the $10 race to a $1000. Only modify it to start with a $1000, any number of bets you want using regular sportsbook odds or choose one book everybody has to bet those odds from and pay out the highest 3 totals at the end of the day. The bets would be time stamped by the post and any bets posted after the game or prop start time, would be voided.

Drop this contest provider having to wait for bets to be graded is a waste of time going back in every 10 - 15 minutes logging in and out will only lead to members not playing.

I was thinking the same thing. I mean the only way I got to 18k was an all in on Likely to score a td at +310 followed by Lakers +135. But still the way the games line up you can't bet half of them because by the time grading happens you miss the next wave of games.

I didn't go allin for that reason. But my smaller bets killed me even though I won most.

I'm 90% certain he had 40+ scorer in the Spurs/Knicks game, so he had a 5k bankroll before the first NFL game began. One double up, you're at 10k. Bet 10k on Lamar TD, you're over 30k.

Thought this contest was ran much better than the last one. I took a gamble and went all-in on the 430 football game and was eliminated before the evening basketball games started. But I really enjoy these types of contests. I wonder what is the better strategy though, going all-in from game to game or splitting the bankroll into smaller chunks and having more plays? Am interested to hear your thoughts on this?

Andy - I'd like to make a suggestion to your contest provide for the Stakes Games. Others may disagree, but I think it would be nice to have the ability to see the other contestants on the leaderboard and their picks, once the contest concludes.
