Wow, this guy sux. How many points did he leave on the board? At least 7.

Even worse = Shanahan. Did he EVER have a chance to make the 58-yarder?

This is my pet-peeve on HCs. You have to know your Kicker's limit on that nite. Moody already missed a kick. Is he going to make a career long?

At the 41-yard line, his options in rank-order are:
    1) Punt - pin em back.
    2) Go for it.
    3) FG only as a last resort. Maybe @ the end of a half.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

    Yes
    I'm grateful for it
I alternate lined the Lions -5.5, and really needed that missed pat at the end

Seriously, 49er fans gotta hate him
He's gonna have to move to another state
    Start over

San Francisco is one of the hardest places to kick 3's(In Moody's case, 1's also)
No NFL team should ever draft a kicker in the first 5 rounds-thats phuckin irresponsible

safe to say that if you are a kicker in need of a job, send in your resume to the 49ers.

Good stuff, darrell. Yes, I thought the Niners were way too ambitious on acquiring Moody.

It's really the FIRST thing I'd factor into my gameplan as an NFL HC. Scout out the pre-game. Know precisely how long this guy can kick in game conditions.

I saw him trotting out there for the 58-yarder. I'm like "What for?" All you're doing is giving the Lions the ball @ mid-field.

It's important to know the kicking difficulty of this field on this particular day. Remember when Hackett asked McManus to kick the 64-yarder in Seattle? I honestly think he said to himself that "he's looked good in practice."
...Sure, in Denver. With no air-resistance.
...Ask him to kick a sea-level all-time record. Bring back Tom Dempsey.

These NFL coaches might be good on scheming plays. But I think they whiff on certain game decisions. And the 4th down kicking decision is one they get it wrong quite often.

Should have been cut at halftime.
