At first I was thinking they would go back to St Louis but Vegas would seem better as it’s closer for the small number of Rams fans in LA to travel.

Yeah, homeowners are going to have a rough time. First, they lose their homes and then will soon have to deal with insurance who are so vicious.
Had a friend whose house was damaged due to the Paradise fire up in Northern California a few years ago. The house wasn’t livable but mainly the damage was due to smoke. The insurance refused to pay as they tried claiming the damage was from smoke and not fire. He eventually got paid but took months of lawyers and legal fees/bills before getting the insurance to pay up.Comment -

EXAMPLE you invest 100k, and after 8 years they will pay you $400 monthly for life, with a beneficiary upon death. They fail to tell you that after the period has passed and you have been receiving payments for 10 years, you would be at approximate 47% payout of total investment. It's a complete scam because if that person had an iota of common sense that money would be almost tripled had they not just invested in the sp500 themselves

-My house is built by my own hands. If I ever have to hire someone to fix something I have blueprints, pictures, 3d drawings, very simple to figure out instructions. Have done this for every 32 square ft of house so it's a large file in the file cabinet. Each area is well documented (simple and functionable) so it isn't going to cost hardly anything to get it fixedComment -
FYI The fires are not near Sofi although the air quality may be an issue. Even though there is a roof, it's still an open stadium. Winds seem to be dying down so hopefully there is a reprieve and we can get a handle on this fukkin disaster.Comment -
