#41Oh yeah! I’ll be there. Haven’t been to Vegas since Covid. Need to see all the old spots and the new spots.Comment -
#42Organized one for a week during WSOP a few years back and I think we had 25 people turn up, from all over the world. (well, Canada and Australia)
Do it!
I saw my name on the list. I was only there for a couple days. Got a chance to meet a few of you guys. Funny how time flies when your face is in a poker-game. Poker is an incredibly slow-moving game.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -
#43A bash would great. Vegas or a poker/gambling cruise would be nice options.Comment -

#57I don’t really play poker much but would be down during WSOP. Even if I don’t play much, I will setup shop in a sportsbook and take the crew out for dinner or burn down a strip clubComment -
#58mj, just make sure it isn't around Valentines Day or halfapointoff might show up with a assault rifle. Apparently that sets him off enough to yell at strangers on the internet.Comment -

#60Horseshoe, Caesar’s, Planet Hollywood all right there and great rates. Downtown is always rocking too and cheap tables. Palms, Palace Station and Southpoint are all solid. Even Westgate makes sense for these yard animals.Comment -
#61If Opti can make it to Vegas from Australia….I’ll try and be there.
My only blackout dates are in September.Comment -

Strip properties are so massive. Makes it hard to navigate. I like Downtown so much better b/c one can get to properties within a few blocks. Have stayed @Golden Nugget several times, I like it there. Of course it's expensive everywhere.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

Salud, MJ. On Vegas trips I actually much prefer Downtown. It has to do w/ the layout.

A few logistical issues on my end. I might miss out on any July meet-up:
1) WSOP takes forever to release their schedule. Site says that it runs 5/27 - 7/16.
2) July is a very bad month for me. More realistically, I'll find some tournaments I like and make a Vegas trip in June.
Of course, I don't expect anyone to schedule around me. You guys will have a blast in July. Imagine if Opti makes the WSOP Main Event Final 3...and is wearing a sick SBR gold-chain at the Final Table.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

See above. I think it can happen. A lot of guys interested.

I love playing live for fun, so even enough cashes to be anywhere near break even will leave me happy from WSOP.
I prefer the under $1000 buy in tourneys like The Goliath and Seniors, which I would guess will be mostly during the last 2 weeks of June. Hoping that suits Matt and most others.Comment -
#68LOL, in my dreams. I took my shot at being an international poker tourney sharp and lasted about 9 months on a 10k bankroll.

A few tips:
1) The Senior tournaments are viewed as being good opportunities.
2) Try to profile an Opponent as soon as possible. Is this guy spewy? Is this guy a Value Only bettor?
Invariably, poker tournaments come down to 1 or 2 big hands. Ton of variance in the short-term. Funny thing is that the LONG-run puts you right where you should be.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -
#69Unless people have their heart set on playing the main event, imo there's no benefit to visiting in July vs. other times during the series. Poker cash games are good any weekend and almost half the casinos in town are hosting their own tournament series, so you can pretty much get any kind of tournament any time you want.
The last week of May and the first week of June are the best weather wise during the series.
