#41better offense, defense, turnover margin. they shut down the run with just their front 4, and kc has a mediocre rushing attack to begin with. #1 pass defense, which says a lot considering they went 14-3 and rarely trail after the half. the only option they leave is to keep dumping underneath all game to the TE or WR slants.
credit to kc for balling like they did, but they could have easily went like 12-5. the eagles are determined to win a championship this year. the chiefs probably feel they can shrug off a loss and go right back. their luck with close wins and favorable calls stops here. the mahomes magic can't overtake the talent differential. the eagles are just better. even brandon graham has a chance to come back and play for some more depth.
Fantastic take on the game.

#43thank you. what's really freaky is, i had a quick psychic vision last night when i went to sleep. i think we all get them from time to time, if we can actually remember them. it lasted about a minute. the eagles just kept sacking mahomes over and over. the score was 24-0 and they had a pick 6. only difference was, it came from a D-lineman. he rushed mahomes blind side and stopped half way through when he noticed it was a WR screen. mahomes turned, snapped a throw and put it right in his mask. then he took it to the house. i only get stuff like that once every 5-10 years. wish i took it more serious.Comment -
#44like i said man, too much hurts hating. 221 in the air, 72 on the ground, 3 TD. 119.7 rating. only 1 poor decision on the INT. and that might have been a mistake, as in he was going to the endzone, but the pressure caused the throw to be well short.Comment -
#45Good stuff. Hurts got it done. Still not a fan of him but he is a champion.Comment -

Have you ever considered trying to get into this state intentionally? Alcohol/sleep deprivation/mediation etc?Comment -

I on the other hand did wake up yesterday thinking I should have hedged my bet and changed one to PHI instead of being so heavily on KC. I left so much money on the table.Comment -

#51I read somewhere that centuries ago some individuals (mainly kings, big religious leaders etc.) would intentionally work on developing a 'talent' to have these psychic dreams or visions if you will. Many used herbs/drugs/chemicals to tap into their subconscious when the stakes were the highest and making a mistake wasn't an option. Some simply went 2-3 days with no sleep, and then made servants wake them up after a 5 or 10 minute nap - and during those couple seconds of being half asleep / half awake, they would see and KNOW what they needed to know.

i remember when i was in like 2nd grade. we had a sweet classmate that had some kind of condition. she would always come to school in a wheelchair. she would never be around for long because she could only handle so much. we didn't know this being so young. so one day, our principal comes on the loudspeaker and sounds kind of choked up, saying she has some "bad news." even though we hadn't seen her in months, i immediately thought "jenny is gone." you can hear her start to cry a little, and she says.. "jenny passed away last night at the hospital." i had no control over that thought.
a few years later, i was at home and my phone rang. my mom got it, and immediately screamed "oh my god! no!" i had the thought "brian is dead." he was my cousin. so i'm watching my mom talk for a few minutes. then she gets off, crying, and tells me that was my aunt on the phone. she said brian died. he was someone i'd only see once or twice a year, and no one knew anything was wrong with him. he had a sudden aneurysm. no possible reasoning why that thought popped right in my head. life is weird. fortunately, i just get the occasional sports vision now.
before the superbowl, i last had one like 4-5 years ago. the most random game, i think it was toledo basketball. i had the score, what they were doing, the opponent.. everything in a 2 minute window. i didn't write down the opponent because i was like "i won't forget." so, of course, i fu!@# forgot. about 5 months later, i'm looking at toledo box scores because there was an upcoming match i was checkng out. i had completely forgotten about the dream. so i'm staring at this one box score.. thinking "why do i keep looking at it?" after a few minutes, i'm like oh shit! that was the game. the whole dream started to come back. the 3's, blowout, opponent, score. i was pissed because they were getting like +190. could have unloaded on them at all angles.Comment -
#52Your premonition didn't tell you that the Eagles would win by 18?
Prop bet that the Eagles win by something like -10 to -18 range would paid out 8.5X. I would have taken a shot for $100.Comment -
#53i still think he's an above average QB. obviously not as high as the jackson, mahomes, burrow or allen tier. he does have very good postseason numbers though. that's certainly a big deal, especially when you look at some of those other guys (like jackson.)
kind of wish i did, just for the "no way, that was impossible" bragging rights. of course, dumping a ton of money on stuff like a pick-6 would have been better
