SBR Forum Migration Update

Attention SBR members,

Our product team has begun the process of upgrading the forum software to the newest version. There are multiple steps to be completed, and we will keep you posted with updates along the way to ensure a seamless transition.

As we get closer to a launch date, we will be able to provide some more concrete details, but please refer to the FAQs below for some initial info:


When will the migration take place?

We are targeting an early March release of the updated forum software. We will follow up with confirmation once this is established.


Is there any downtime expected?

Some minor downtime is expected in order to complete the data migration. We will give advance notice of this and make sure it takes place during a lower traffic time of the week.


Are we gaining or losing any features?

We are not anticipating any lost functionality. Any feature changes will be outlined prior to launch.


Will there be a place to make suggestions and report issues?

Yes, a dedicated thread will be created to report any bugs and give feedback on the new platform.

hopefully the page payout stays the same. It so easy to look at and not so cluttered as some other forums I have seen. SBR's page is clean and simple.

It's probably going to take some getting used to after so many years since the last upgrade. I'm probably going to have to learn how a lot of stuff works without the current quirks too.

Just checking in with an update here - we are progressing well with the prep work ahead of the forum upgrade. Our team completed some testing this week and we remain on track for the early March launch date.

I will follow up again at the end of next week with our target date and will pass along any important info to be aware of prior to the migration.

Hi all,

Following up again to let you know we are on track for the forum upgrade to go ahead next week. We have targeted the evening of Tuesday, March 4th into the morning of Wednesday, March 5th to complete the migration. During this time, the forum and contests will be offline.

No action is required on your end. All post and message history will transfer over with the upgrade. I will touch base again here prior to launch to ensure everything is ready to go.
