Yeah, I have to agree with mikejam here. Even if the game didn’t start at 7pm, the books at SBR Odds have games starting at the top or bottom of the hour (currently as don’t know about baseball). When contests are done on the contest page it’s the same.

I tried to make picks a few seconds after the hour for the NFL conference games contest and wasn’t allowed to pick, even though the games didn’t start. I think we should use the time as provided on the SBR Odds and not when the game actually starts. That way we avoid confusions as not every game is being watched by a poster. That being said I’ll wait until Andy makes the ruling.

Yeah, totally agree HS. There has to be some consistency here. The SBR Odds page clearly post the start times. You’re right, those NFL conference game picks contest closed right at the posted start times. And if you take into account a goal in an NHL hockey game can be scored in less than a minute, posting a pick at 7:04 gives someone a 4 minute advantage.

Try posting a pick on a NCAA hoops game 4 minutes past the start time and you’d be laughed off the board.Anybody ever been able to place a full game bet at a book once the game starts?

@MikeJamm, the way you come into almost every single SBR promotional thread and complain or attack people is past being tolerable anymore.

Appreciate players helping out spotting any bad lines or errors posted, but can you do it in such a way that you are not starting fights and abusing people and making members feel like they are at risk of being abused for any error if they play our contests.



It appears to me that you are incorrect in your claim that Sunshine's pick is BS or that he is a cheat. You owe an apology I think.

And next time if you see any error, simply posting that this might be an error for Andy to check out is great and all that is needed.

To clarify and close this matter, I questioned Sunshine's pick at betrivers as I didn't see it on SBR Odds page. However, mj clarified that it was there. I chalked it up as being missing as I was viewing the page on my phone. I slightly recalled that it was briefly discussed in Jan contest thread. I just went back and reviewed that thread. There's a brief discussion that it appears to conclude that posters in states w/o legal US books (TX/CA) don't show betrivers but prophet x; and posters in states w/ legal US books don't show prophet x but betrivers. Since I didn't see betrivers, I couldn't check the line movement for that site. After looking at your post, the line and book that Sunshine used were correct. I was incorrect and the matter has been resolved.

I do take issue w/ Sunshine in stating that I called her a cheater. I went and checked the SBR Odds page and did not see betrivers. Thus, I questioned whether it was allowed. The geo targeting has screwed me wondering why someone mentioned a book I don't know as rated too.

Must be mens as I think WNBA is the only female league odds covered. Might be different for major games sometimes.
