Deebo to the Commanders

Washington traded a 5th rd pick to the 49ers for Deebo Samuel. Seems like good move considering he only has one year left on his contract at 17.5 mil and it only cost them a 5th rounder. This gives Daniels a big target on those underneath routes but I'm not sure his running ability is effective anymore. San Fran gets cap space to sign Purdy long term.

Commanders got a better part of this deal. For a playoff team, he’s worth 1st or 2nd round pick.

Injuries are the concern here. If he can stay on the field he can be a weapon that the defense has to account for, maybe opening up the field for Terry. But the last two years have been iffy. Still a good deal for Washington, they get to fully evaluate him before they work on a longer deal.

I hear he can be a handful at times with that attitude of his too.
Header, MJ, Jake, or Gaucho would probably know more about that than me, those are West Coast guys that are on top of California sports.
I know just from what other sports media professionals tell me.
