I don’t think I watched one movie that has been nominated this year. Maybe for the categories for cartoons; makeup; or special effects. 🤣

Dune 2 with that promotional popcorn bucket:

        Best cinematography
        Best Visual Effects
        Best editing (?)

        Best animation: Inside Out 2

Those the only two movies I saw that were nominated so going with that’s two. 😀

Ops, not film editing as they weren’t nominated but Best Sound!

I haven’t seen any of the movies nominated. Haven’t even heard of most of them. Was 2024 the worst year for movies ever??

Considering that about 90 percent of the Oscar Community are left winged liberals (that's not an insult, that's just the way the industry is, been like that forever) I'd hammer the 'over' of any number posted.

I love Conan, so I'll be tuning in and out during the evening.

I grew up loving and still loving Bob Dylan, Timothee Chalamet sacrificed five years to nail the lead to perfection, Bob Dylan is an extremely difficult musician to cover, and he was brilliant, I saw the movie, it was all that and more.

I'm also rooting hard for Demi Moore, I've always loved her, and she put up with a ton of shit in her career, she deserves this one too.

I'm on record (see what I did there?) with this, I can't stomach Ariana Grande, I think she's probably the biggest prima donna diva that ever walked the face of the earth, having said that, she was born with talent on loan from God, worked extremely hard since she was like eight years old to perfect her craft, and personally I think she has the biggest voice in pop music since Debbie Harry, so I hope all that childhood sacrificing pays off for her tonight.

But man, I'm rooting hard for Chalamet, on top of everything else, he's very humble and extremely likeable.

Conan is crushing it tonight, like I knew he would.
IMO he's the GOAT comedy screen writer.

I'm tired of Amy Poehler, she just needs to go away please.

The homage the Academy just paid to the James Bond franchise was brilliant.

Very true, that's pretty much common knowledge though.
He also wrote for Saturday Night Live as well.

Because of the cutthroat late night talk competition Conan's talk show drew only mediocre ratings, however virtually every critic loved it.

                    Boston boy, advanced Harvard degree.
                    He's a comedic genius.

I'll have to find a highlights vid. Like Conan.
