    NFL Handicapping systems
Interested to see if you have your own format, or you use someone elses system. I for the most part follow the dan gordon system. Also has anyone used his software let me know what you think of it.

I use a two pronged approach when I handicap NFL games.
The first being a spreadsheet with a pivot table attached that shows me how past match ups have ended up for a particular scenario, ex( time of year, home or away, divisional, away after a home game, etc...). This spreadsheet also shows how I have performed in handicaping a certain situation.
The second prong of the approach is just watching every NFL game, (thanks to NFL Sunday ticket super fan) and anaylizing the stats, running, passing, defense, etc...
I don't use anybody elses picks or buy from touts claiming to have the inside scoop. I am trying to find out which official will be at each game but this info does not seem to be available anywhere.

If you can find 3+ successful handicappers, you can use a consensus. Throw out the plays they disagree on, and you'll hit slightly higher than their average rate.

As far as Dan Gordon goes, I think he is more talk than work. Does he have a winning record for the last 6 years? His book isn't terrible - the more methodologies you know, the better. I wouldn't bet money on his ideas alone though.
