Always one of my favorites. Liked him even when I first saw Real Genius as a kid on HBO.

Yes, Reload. He was very good in that movie. He was so fresh when he was young.

Reload, you got me thinking. That might have been the first time I saw Val. First one I remember at least. "I aced this." After he turns in the test and walks out.

I'm going to go back and watch The Doors movie. Val resembled Jim Morrison enough to make it passable. His acting mirrored Jim quite well, and he sang with his own voice.

Jim Morrison (Doors) Great performance, even better when you realize he apparently did the vocals.

Tombstone ... Classic, must see. "I'll be your Huckleberry". My favorite.

Yes! If there's one actor born to play Jim, it was Val Kilmer. He does the "I'm Jim" intro and looks exactly like Jim. RIP, Jim and Val.

One of my all-time favorite scenes.
Pay attention to Val's facial expressions. Now that's Al Pacino-level acting.

                        Val Kilmer-

Sad, sad news hearing about the death of Val Kilmer.
                        Cherish his onscreen master characters.
I have savored his performance as Doc Holiday many times
Sorry that I missed his portrayal of Jim Morrison in The Doors.
I'll punch the film up soon.

Equally sorry that he couldn't finish his self-penned Citizen Twain...
maybe there is a copy of his stage play.

I'll pick up his memoir, I'm Your Huckleberry: A Memoir.
Too bad his surgeons butchered his vocal cords during his tracheotomy
                        cutting his career short.

What a fantastic Renaissance man... actor, musician, and painter.

I have some Val Kilmer films to watch and re-watch.

                        Rest In Peace.

He was in this movie in 2017:
                          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Snowman_(2017_film)

First time I saw how banged-up he was. Didn't even look like the same guy (from his youth).

If The Doors (movie) was close to accurate, then Jim had lots of problems. Ticking time-bomb, died at age 27.

19, this is a great tribute by you. Think about it. When an artist can have that kind of impact on someone, you know that he made his mark and that he'll have staying power.
