Shedeur Sanders now favored to go 9th. Took some going 4th.

I WILL REPEAT FOR YOU DEAD DUMB AND BLIND

1st in completion percentage Out of over 700 QBs in college football

2nd in touchdowns Out of over 700 QBs in college football

4th in paasing yards Out of over 700 QBs in college football

2nd in completions Out of over 700 QBs in college football
I watched his games. The kid can play. He made all
the throws. The knock is pocket presence and the sacks he was mostly responsible for. Thats hard to quantify though because that line was pretty bad. I think he will be a solid pro. I do think some of these organizations may not want to deal with Deion but oh well. I also think a few HC’s said no too because they are insecure about their own job status and think Deion will be replacing their ass.

Browns got a player, just not sure the Browns won’t mess it up! Going to be fun to see how it plays out.

The sooner he can separate from his dad’s involvement, the better. I would make calls to Josh Heupel at UT and see if I can compete to start. Maybe go to a smaller tiered school like App State, who just lost their QB to Tennessee. He’s already been at 2 schools and performed well. Does he sit on some NFL team or should he play right now in college, not being coached by dad. His daddy is the ball and chain.
Because of the economics with NIL, I wouldn’t sign an agent until after the draft. You can always go back to Colorado too… either way- more pay in college than a 5th round pick.

Kiper should develop some skills first before popping off.
The next time he laces up a pair of Nikes or spikes will be the first time.
He never played a down of football or an inning of baseball.

Kiper is nothing but a long-winded self-promoting gasbag, like Howard Stern or the late Rush Limbaugh.
Unlike Howard and Rush, Kiper's self-promoting skills aren't all that great either.

There's a certain amount of truth to the age-old adage "Those who can do, do; those who can't do teach."

I think getting him in the 5th round was the steal of the draft. He has 1st round talent but teams obviously didn’t want to deal with daddy. Now he can compete. The Browns will most likely keep 3 QBs (they have 5 now). He gives them another asset they can shop as teams get desperate for QB help. Keep Flacco, who can teach both rookies. Deal Pickett and release Watson. If Sanders has a bad attitude, you cut bait for very low risk. I like the pick. The Browns need to go through a hundred QBs until they find the one.

I like the pick. If anything, it's the VALUE-pick of the draft. How TF did Gabriel go b4 Sanders?

I've been waiting for the Browns to get good again. I'm hoping that he upgrades their QB play.

I now wonder about the Deion angle. Deion passed down ego to his son. But his son also saw his dad play as a professional. Maybe too much made out of it, I'll now be rooting for this guy. Go, Browns.

Holds the ball too long is what probably dropped Sanders stock. Can you imagine paying double digit millions and getting sacked over 50 times in the NFL? By 300+lb tacklers. Too bih a risk. Now the Btowns can trade him up for another player.

Although it will be hard to top what one longtime NFL assistant coach told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero earlier this week, claiming Sanders was “the worst formal interview I’ve ever been in in my life”.

“He’s so entitled,” the coach added.

“Shedeur didn’t have a great interview with Brian Daboll in a private visit,” McShay said.

“An install package came in. Preparation wasn’t there for it. [He] got called out on it. Didn’t like that. Brian didn’t appreciate him not liking it.”

Good post, Raid. I sensed that SOMETHING went south for this guy. The interview makes perfect sense.

Go back to the NEB game:
                          1) Sanders threw a gift pick-6 to NEB.
                          2) He threw his Off Linemen under the bus. Said that he was getting too much pressure. Compared it to the lack of pressure NEB QB Raiola was getting.

So much time spent on Sanders when Cam Ward has such a tremendous story of getting here. What a kid! I’m a huge fan. I hope he has great success.

Fair point. My counter would be that he had a lot of success. He destroyed TCU in 2023.

Guy had success. Colorado almost won the conference. Program had dramatic improvement in two years.

I'll stick with my opinion on over/under-reaction. This guy was rated as the #2 QB prospect. It's fair to peg him down on an interview, but How Much?

It's un-thinkable to me that Sanders was drafted after Gabriel. Gabriel is older and shorter. He lacks the arm-strength to cut through any wind.

I'd like to see a prop on who starts an NFL game first? I'd gladly take Sanders -110 over Gabriel.
