I'm very familiar with his story:
1) Was a FANTASTIC college player @Syracuse. Instrumental in the upset over #1 Nebraska.
2) Played in the NFL. Later became a very good broadcaster.
3) Said that he lived out his dreams by a) Playing in the NFL and b) Becoming a successful writer.
4) Was later diagnosed with ALS. Result of all the head collisions?
5) Been seven years since his diagnosis. The stats say that he's out-lived life expectancy of someone with ALS.
