A group of us won $14k on a Super Bowl board. The square cost $1,000. The board pays 100% of what it takes in, so the guy running it does it for free. We feel like we should give him a tip, but we have no idea how much. Thoughts?
How much do you tip a guy who runs a Super Bowl board when you win?

#7500 dollars is good. That is a minimum of 100 dollars and hour for his/her time and effort to put the pool together. I won a 1200 survivor pool and I gave 20 dollars for a lunch/dinner on me.Comment -

Any time I hit an office pool at work it's about 200 to 250 I tip the guy who runs in 20 to 25
I'm like "here Mikey, I got lunch" and leave him a 20 or whatever.Comment -
#14Tip them? Most of the sleazeballs that I've played with already took out their cut for running it.Then they give their friends the better numbers. I played in one this year for $25 a square and go figure the guy running it won the halftime score.
I ran $50 square Superbowl polls back in the late 90's to mid 2000's and no one ever tipped me shit. And mine always paid out exactly what they were supposed to and I flipped the random numbers(with cards) in front of a large group of people.Comment -
#15only play pools where they pick the squares and numbers in front of everybody. I been cheated to many times.Comment -

#17If this was a $100,000 poll, what did the other quarters pay out?Comment -

#21$500 on a 14k win is a nice tip. It does take some time to put one together.Comment -

#23I know, the ones I ran had regular scores and flip scores for each quarter along with different numbers for each person for each quarter(so you didn't get fukked with 8 and 8 for the entire game). I was just wondering what else got paid out since $100,000 is a lot of money.Comment -
#24Oh yeah Rudy, Cause I had it all planned out that 3, 7 was definitely gonna win. You are the biggest lying asshole this forum has ever seen. Meet me at the next SBR bash and say that shit, and you'll be picking your fuk'in teeth up off the carpet.Comment -
#25I'd buy him a hooker.Comment -

#27mikey why are you threatening me????Comment -
#28Rudy and Mike, please apply a couple of Dr. Phil avatars to your handles. You guys need to stop this foolishness and find the inner peacefulness that resides within.
As to the OP, 5% is plenty. It's not like he was bringing you a meal or cutting your hair.Comment
