I think one group had like 5000 people come for a convention but they stayed in their rooms to do it virtually.

    lol

I'm thinking there was a rquired annula meeting or something.

Freemont St was packed over the weekend. We went to nerd bar to watch our women ride the rooster!! Nobody at bar and laughed our asses off. I went to Golden Nugget and all the monitors were taken out!! WTF!! Had MIL/PHO over 233. Guy needed it for $25,000, i figure he knows his NBA and it went into overtime for an easy win. 4 more he wins $100,000. He took GS/WASH over 239 tonight. Good luck to him.

I like what I'm hearing here and I hope it continues because that is a sign of things getting back to normal (not "The New Normal", but NORMAL). If people are willing to flock to Las Vegas, they'll be willing to do anything. However, permit me to be the pessimist here--all it's going to take are a few people getting sick in a short period of time for panic to ensue again. Just my two cents....

I agree here but I really don't think the panic that could ensue will lead to the types of shutdowns we saw last year, especially in Vegas.

I think it would have to be almost impossibly extreme for them to shut down the money trees again, at least like they did.

They also said buffets wouldn't come back (they being hotel and resort execs) but I think that tune is changing too.

So a lot less of "new normal" and a lot more "normal" like you're saying.

FYI Hawaii has a pretty significant number of tourists despite the travel restrictions to get here. Feels like things are getting back to normal

Any idea who will run the Resorts World book when it opens in June?
