    A Community Update from SBR
    Greetings, SBR Posters!

We know you still have plenty of questions about the future of the SBR Forums, and of the site in general. We’d like to share some of the exciting initiatives we’re working on, while also responding to some of your most pressing concerns.

First and foremost, we want to emphasize that we have a solid and dedicated long-term plan built around embracing legalized sportsbooks within North America. This strategy will allow us to grow SBR into one of the industry leaders, leveraging the extensive knowledge and experience of the site’s moderators and power posters while also opening the doors for the millions of new sports bettors that are expected to enter the market in 2022 and beyond.

Community engagement and growth is a must. We know that the SBR Forums are a place that many of you have called home for years – like the pub on the corner, where great memories have been forged and meaningful friendships have been made. We will continue to support the forums and the shared experience they foster, while at the same time seeking new and exciting opportunities to connect the rapidly expanding sports betting community.

Many of you are concerned about the future of BetPoints. You can rest assured that they are going to remain part of our long-term strategy. We want to be absolutely sure that we’re improving the usage and value of these BetPoints so that you, the consumer, are getting the most out of them. And if you have any suggestions on how we can enhance the BetPoints experience, we’re happy to listen.

There has also been questions about contests – specifically the NCAA Bowl contest. We’re happy to announce that it will run as scheduled this year! More details will be available very soon.

In short, we plan to invest – and we welcome your feedback in figuring out where and how to do so. And that not only goes for the forums, but for the rest of Sportsbook Review, as well.

The SBR Picks pages have already undergone a bit of a facelift, and will continue to do so as we look for the best ways to engage with the betting public through our content. Look for more experimental features geared more toward making bettors smarter than simply offering picks – and we’ll be looking for ways to get the SBR Forum faithful involved, as well, with the potential for paid content opportunities.

We’ll be investing in high-end technology that will not only make our odds pages more reliable, but will also enable us to build new experiences around these odds. We recognize that SBR’s odds page has been its greatest and most popular feature – and we intend on giving SBR users the best odds experience possible.

Lastly, the sportsbook reviews themselves need to become a larger part of what brings people into SBR (and keeps them here). Our plan is to revamp our sportsbook reviews with the customer in mind – and ensure that all sportsbooks are held to the highest standard in the industry. We will advocate for the sports bettor – and as you can see from our initial grades for the top U.S. sportsbooks, the bar is high.

We can’t thank you enough for your patience during what has been a mammoth transition process for everyone involved. We are hard at work resolving any outstanding technical and logistical issues, and our top priority moving forward is to make sure that you feel appreciated and valued as members of the SBR community – whether through improved odds experiences, new and exciting contests, a revamped BetPoints strategy, or other enhancements to the site.

Look for more updates in the weeks to come, and as always, don’t hesitate to reach out via PM or to any of the moderators if you have any questions, concerns or suggestions.

Thanks for giving us your time, and have a great week!

What is the status with US pros ? How are US pro memberships going to work ? What should we do if our renewal comes up during this limbo we have been experiencing ?

Wish you all could re-vamp your poker software /game settings

quicker blinds and better layout structure /rollover structure

haven’t played SBR poker in like 4 years due to time game takes to end

a fresh interface and game setting would be awesome

Been browsing around a bit on other forums lately. SBR still a class of its own, although some other sites have better forum software with thread update push notifications for mobile etc.

Nothing has changed with renewal process for USA, it is still charity donation or 3000 points. I get that approvals have taken longer, but delays should subside now.

Thank you for the update, looking forward to what the new SBR will look like?

In regards to the "sportsbook reviews with the customer in mind", does this mean that the new reviews will be based on actual customer experiences or can ratings/grades be bought by the sportsbooks like they seemingly have in the past with the offshore books?

He is the mysterious "SBR Forum".

Like a time lord from Dr Who he regenerates into a new form from time to time.

With everything going on the position is not set in stone as yet. But SBR Forum is the official company channel and Lou has moved on.

So at present, only option for international posters who are not Canadian is Pinnacle? That's pretty limited.

                            Any chance that will expand?

Like LT mentioned - there's no issue with the US pro renewals as we 're still able to verify donations made to the Make-A-Wish and Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics.

Thanks for the update I am looking forward to seeing a bigger better SBR. A lot of us have been here for many years and only want to see things improve. We do have a lot (a few) of negative members with no patience, but for the most part we are just bad gamblers looking for an edge!! You don't hang around for years if you don't like the experience so hopefully that will continue. Maybe we can get poker back to full swing!!

In regards to the "sportsbook reviews with the customer in mind", does this mean that the new reviews will be based on actual customer experiences or can ratings/grades be bought by the sportsbooks like they seemingly have in the past with the offshore books?
The new sportsbook reviews will weigh user feedback and experiences heavily; we plan to feature user comments in all reviews, and incorporate user ratings as a significant share of a sportsbook's overall grade. We'll have more information on this process soon.

Our ratings will not be for sale. In fact, we intend to go in the complete opposite direction here and make our reviews the gold standard for the industry. We know that no sportsbook is perfect – and our stringent grading system will focus precisely on what each book needs to work on in order to improve the overall user experience. And that goes for all users: those frustrated with unrealistic T&Cs on bonus offers, those being targeted and limited for winning too often, those who are routinely seeing 10-15 cents of juice or more on their bets, and everyone else who has a legitimate beef about their sportsbook of choice.

These new reviews will advocate for players first by being honest and transparent, and weighing the user experience significantly.
