When does the CBI and CIT start?

CBI tourney starts on Saturday the 18th and will go until the 22nd.

I think the CIT doesn’t exist anymore.

It was replaced by “The Basketball Classic” in 2022, I believe. The Kung Flu killed the CIT Tourney, it never bounced back after the COVID cancellations.

For 2023, The Basketball Classic was cancelled as well.

As far as I know, this is the situation.

Tomorrow: Eastern Kentucky (#8) @ Indiana State (#1) -5.5

Looking at these teams, the greatest difference between them is on offense. They both play at a high tempo, rebounded well against their conference competition, and know how to stifle opposing offenses. However, Indiana State is typically efficient, hitting almost half of their shots and taking advantage of free throws. Eastern Kentucky is not, only hitting 43.5% of their field goals and missing nearly 35% of their free throws. Expect Indiana State's offense to make the difference in this one when they beat the spread.

Southern Utah to win by 9 and cover. Wrong on the spread, right on the moneyline.

Radford to win outright 70-68.

Charlotte to win and cover 77-69.

The non predicitve public gauge shows San Jose St winning 66-63 and Charlotte winning 72-66.

Ok, so that parlay pays out +1.82 units.

If Radford can cover, I have equity with a two pick.

I usually reserve trading equity (short term mentality) for the 3 and 4 picks, like yesterday, but at least we're working with a possible example.

I can get Wisc Mil for +200, with a lot of +190s out there. But what we really want is better than +225. With a two pick, depending on why you made it or how it's constructed, it's usually not worth the vig over the long term to sell back.

That's important to remember.

Of course info and circumstances can change. But let's not think long term. Let's think short term.

Hopefully, when Radford looks to be a reality, we can see pressure on Charlotte.

If so, with the success brought on by the Radford trades, we might even get to sell back a two pick.

This is why I made the two pick and this is the purpose for which it was constructed. If we hold, we hold. It jsut means the market wasn't as felxible as we had hoped.

For now we need Radford to do the job.
