    Wander Franco

Word is he might ever play baseball again so i guess he was messing with a 14 year old jesus. Hopefully he didnt spend all 189 million already. This has to be the biggest downfall in sports history or worst since Len Bias Rip.

All the big names in the baseball social media world (guys like Rosenthal, etc) say Wander is in deep doo.
Like if Wander wants to play he'll be playing in the Indie's on the AA level for years before he even sniffs a MLB job again.

    IF

All that is being reported is true, but if the Ken Rosenthal's of thee world say it's pretty much true, than I believe it.

    He's the golden boy.
    But...
Judge, from all accounts has gone through life 'correctly' so far.

    He's this decades Derek Jeter..
DJ, and Eli lasted two decades each in the bright lights of NYC and never melted.
Everyone else melted except for maybe Namath.

Did she give consent and were the parents of the minor in on the relationship? Lot's of money coming in with that hook up I'm sure.

14 is really young though. Sick bastard. Didn't Elvis Presley do the same thing?

Thanks for the Money Ball reference KLC.

I personally think Money Ball is the best ever baseball movie.
Not only that I think it's the most accurate of all the best bio-pics.

Brad Pitt was a perfect Billy Beane, and worked great with Jonah Hill.
Do yourself a favor people, watch Money Ball again just to be reminded just how good Money Ball with Hill and Pitt is.

was reading a “report” that the mother was well aware of the relationship, was given a car & 200k. She then wanted more $$$ or they would go public. I guess he didn’t pay & the rest is history.

So dude made 185 million and he can't get an 18 year old virgin or hot tamale? He goes for 14 instead? Isn't she just getting over Barbie dolls at that point? Wow that is very very fukked up whether its culturally okay or not. Its just fukked right up. Later Wandering Wando! HurryUpandGettheFukkOutofHere if that' true Wandering Wando. But, I suppose you might get off the hook because Joe Biden likes little girls too so this is your chance for a pardon already.

Seymour obviously did his homework before filming, he studied up on Art Howe as he accurately portrayed him
How was a mediocre back up infielded in the pros and was a blockheaded manager who thought his word was final..
Howe refused to answer to Beane from jump street, he was straight up stubborn in real life.
Howe got what he deserved, Beane shit canned him right aft that 2002 season, Mets hired him for 2003-2004, the players really didn't like him, lost 91 and 95 games there got shit canned and never got a MLB managers interview again.

Howe cried after the release of Money Ball, he said they never mentioned he had a year left on his contract in Oakland, I say so what to that, that's a minor detail.

Eight Men Out was as accurate as Money Ball too, and that was also a real life baseball movie based on a true story and that movie used some 'artistic licence' it's Hollywood, mot a court of law.

Yeah, I loved Pratt as Hattie too.

Does anybody else see the irony in this.
Beane traded a lot of his team just to prove Hattie can play first base.
Beane built his team based on who can can get on base.
Hattie always had a very high OBA .361 for the career is impressive, but limited power.

Beane didn't care much about HR power, Hattie was a walk machine.
Here's the irony, A's blow a 11-0. Tim Hudson was staked to a 11-0 lead, got rocked and gave back five runs...

Oakland was going for 20 straight wins, KC got five more in the eighth,
Game tied in the ninth, this is an historic game, ell the media attention is on this game right?
Howe calls on Hattie to pinch hit, he didn't want Hattie on the team to begin with, Beane went out of his way to sign him because he had an uncanny knack for getting walks, right.

    What does Hattie do?
    Here's the irony.

Real life video, this isn't Money Ball scene.
I don't know what Grimsley was trying to feed Hattie, looks like a slider I guess that flat lined over the plate and Hattie crushed it.

I have a buddy that pulled a Wander Franco red /5 topps rookie out of a pack last year. He was offered over 5k for it at the time and he never sold and will now be lucky to get $100 for it. This is one of the risks in investing in young modern players. They could die, get arrested etc.

This Jeter 1992 card will cost you 10k, and he didn't debut until 1995.

    Yeah, it makes no sense.

I got out of the card business 10 years ago right after I sold all my 1983 Sandberg cards.
I did OK with that, I had 40 of them, I thought I'd make a lot more than what I got, but the market was saturated.

Dealer offered me 3k for the 40 cards, now you can get a 1983 Sandberg mint condition for about 40 dollars, so I did OK.
