      Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE"

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

      Just watch.

      Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue....

      Majority Owner

wow, that is preposterous. i can't believe an owner of a team would actually write those words.
it's really pathetic. how many owners trade players without notice and play games with their heads ?
most laughable is his statement that the cavs will win a championship before lebron does.
really pathetic. this is professional sports, not regional warfare.
we're all in the same country.. this isn't college Rivalry.
pathetic to say the least. he sounds like a 16 year old who got his first rejection from a girl.

That was a classic statement from the owner and shows how much of an ego loser that Lebron really is. I love the 2 times he mentioned "self" proclaimed King. I feel bad for the fans that had to indure his little gay ass days leading up to the big party in South Beach. Don't feel bad, you still have the Cleveland Browns to win you a ring Cleveland.

It is straight from the NBA.com Cleveland Cavaliers website. Unless someone hacked the website and posted that letter, it has to be legitimate.

way to be classy you ******* loser. You couldnt get the right personel in there for 7 years. Mo Williams is a bust. This is a mans life who wants to right a legacy. He wanted nothing more than to do it in cleveland. They couldnt get it done.

What a classless piece of shit. Lebron is the only reason his team is even on the map. Way to thank him properly. Lebron shouldnt even get boo'd in cleveland and I hope he doesnt.

If Lebron didn't pay him the courtesy of informing him of the decision before the show (which he said he did not), I think I understand some of his anger. After 7 years, the Cavs organization deserves better. Lebron had every right to leave. He just should have done it with more class.

You couldn't be more wrong... Cleveland is a great sports town and though the city hasn't won a title in 46 years, they have been competitive. Probably the worst thing is if you try too hard then your always winning but usually never enough to win a title. You have to sometimes tank in order to reload properly and Cleveland teams don't know how to tank well. The Heat tanked this year and got cap space that brought them to this point. The Marlins did the same thing years ago.

Cleveland has good teams but not great teams. Hopefully the Browns will pull it together. It's a great city, don't believe the press.

I really can't think of another worst way to stick it in the face of a fanbase. Why would he do what he did tonight? Maybe he had beef with DG, I don't know but you don't screw your people like that. Give them respect, don't shit on the entire city in front of millions of people worldwide. I really thought he was smarter than that.
