Better to stay away if your thinking about. Watching it is very aggravating, and more than often you probably going to get killed by some silly sh1t in the final minute. Happens in Football, often in Basketball, he'll even baseball because of a 9th inning choke job.

#2I've been through the frustration as an 'under' player. Still is what I stick with though.Comment -
#3your winning it until you lose it if you have there underComment -
#4Overs can get killed in the last few minutes too. Nothing more satisfying than betting an Under and having a final like 3-0Comment -
#5I like betting baseball unders. Its a game where outs are more common than baserunners, making it not so excruciating.Comment -
#6
I disagree with this post. But please keep betting overs. It's good for the market.Comment -
#7I'm always playing the unders in the NHL. Any other sport scares me too much.Comment -
#8ive been on a good run with unders until miami went off for 39 in the 2nd quarter.Comment -
#9Personally, I think its more frustrating watching OVERSComment -
#10Betting totals when you are watching the game is frustrating no matter which side you are on.
The possibility of that "silly sh!t" as well as OT are reflected in the line.Comment -
#11unders are frustrating but profitable. Most people are over better's so the total is usually jacked up to offset this. Total's are a numbers game if it's set to high it usually goes over and if it's set to low it usually goes underComment -
#12I don't like watching games when I have a wager on totals.Comment -
#13yeah I hate winning money, unders are for suckersComment -
#14unattractive and frustrating, I barely enjoy winning themComment -
#15I am the opposite I hate betting overs. With an under you are winning the bet when the game starts. Especially in baseball, so often a game starts 2 or 3 innings scoreless and you have a big edge to win the bet at that point. I bet unders or don't bet the total.
With this being said, usually overs and unders run in cycles in a league. This is especially true in baseball. When unders get hot in baseball you can make a killing.Comment -
#16Betting under is rarely stupid.
An exception that comes to mind is a NCAAF game with a total of like 65 and two teams that do nothing but pass and have swiss cheese pass defenses. The edge is on the over for games like this almost every time. The edge is on the over for most NCAAF games, and a lot of NFL, unless one or both sides have an exceptional D or inept O, which seems to be rare for NCAAF.
Generally think there's an edge with unders in basketball. For NBA, you just figure it's more difficult to sustain the average pace of about 4 points per minute with about 4 possessions a minute and the league average FG% at like 49%. Droughts/slow pace are typically more common and beneficiary to the under than shooting sprees/fast pace is to the over.Comment -
#17Unders hit way more than overs because squares bet overs because they are afraid of unders. Under is the playComment -
#18i usually bet under the only sport i bet a lot of overs is hoops but usually for like a half or quarter rather than whole gameComment -
#19Tonight I was all over that suns-jazz under. After playing last night the suns wouldn't be lighting it up and the jazz don't post big numbers. However my heart says bet the over but my head says under a lot. I guess I like to see players succeed rather than fail.Comment -
#20I never play an under in NFL (sometimes tease) & hate playing overs in NCAABComment -
#21I feel like more people bet the over than under so then vegas keeps the over under a lil high on each bet..Comment -
#22I think it's a stupid bet even though I still do it, but it's the stupid things that usually kills the under in Basketball.
20 intentional fouls with 1 minutes in a game that's well projected to go low. Or some guy hitting a wide open three pointer at the end to barely hit the over, because no one decides to even guard him in a game already decided.
We'll today stupidity killed my under in the Laker/Knick 1st half at 107.5 because Amare got a two shot shooting foul with .08 seconds as time was expiring. It looked like a clean block by Gasol, no call if anything. But it's thing like that, that will have you pulling your hair when losing that close on such a questionable call.Comment -
#23Play'em, don't watch 'em.
I'm willing to venture I'm hitting 70% of my unders this season in NCAAB. But rooting for bricks is never as much fun as rooting for scores. And because of that, I'm an idiot and play overs too, and am probably only hitting 45%. Make a plan and stick with it. I can't, unless I don't watch. And what's the fun in that?No more of that talk, or I'll put the leeches on you.Comment -

#25Totals are very hard to predict because very hard to predict flow of the game
Things change during course of game, injuries, blowouts, turnovers, etcComment -
#26I like betting unders.....When watching basketball, I like to watch teams throw bricks.Comment -

#28I think betting the over under is stupid all together. Teams are looking to win the game, regardless of the scores.Comment -

#31wish i had the under in this damn rich gameComment -
#32this is why u dont watch games u bet on, keep emotion out of it.local forum trollComment -
#33I do okay on unders.

#34Overs are the more popular bet by far. It's easier to root for the action, especially when you are rooting for one of the teams involved. Many gamblers are afraid of unders because of the possibility of overtime. When they need a lock or that one win to cash out for the week, they don't want to sweat the game and lose because team B tied it up with a couple of last minute 3-pointers.
Stats wise, they are usually slightly more valuable than overs. You'll often see the recreational books a half point above a true market line like Pinnacle because the type of player they collected bets more overs.Comment -
#35This thread is why so many more people bet overs than unders and thus is why unders as a whole are better.Comment
