I think it's more that Federer has gotten better over the years on clay. The clay court slows the game down just a bit for Fedex, helping with his semi-lost step. Wait until the US Open, that blast fest should be interesting. I think Fedex loses kind of early.

Epic game, final scoreline doesn't do it justice. Same amount of break points, almost exact number of points won until late in the 4th. I made some crazy in-game bets on Nadal to win the 3rd set, and then chased to win the 4th. Was sweating it out hard in the 1st game of the 4th, completely agree with t-wizzle, that was where Fed lost his chance of a comeback. The first mental blow was losing that 1st set, that game was the final nail in the coffin.

With Fed refinding his form, Wimbledon should be a classic. Tennis is having a golden period here.
