Just watched two for the money. How much of this movie is bull shit. Don't know a lot about this guy but know a lot of people make a lot of money fading him, and he never played college ball. 10 Points for a well-thought out summary.

#3It's a decent flick if you nothing about sports lolComment -
#4saw that movie in vegas, was embarrassed at the time, i like it better nowComment -
#5still haveyet to see it but heard it was a good watchComment -
#6The guy actually did play college sports, but I think it was basketball not football as they show in the movie; think they used football because its more exciting to viewers IMO. I read he was caddying at a golf course and kept trying to pitch his idea to directors that would play the course (if you haven't noticed already from the guy touting himself non stop, he seems to have a big head and thought his story was the greatest and would make a great movie). The dude that ended up directing it is Rene Russo's real life husband if I remember reading correctly. As for the sports betting aspect of the movie, its about 90% false IMO, and anyone that visits the service area on a daily basis can attest to this.Comment -
#7id pay good money to watch a reality show of brandon link coaching a pee wee football team in a decent, and competitive, leagueComment -
#8Anyone got any info on the sports aspect he run hot or something than just get back to reality?Comment -

#11according to his wiki he never played college sports and joined the navy for four yearsComment -
#12he tried to walk on somewhere....like central michigan or some shit....and hurt a knee.....dont think he ever made the team or suited up....then he tried to sell some story about jerry tarkanian watching him play pickup and telling him he was good enough to play for the rebels...lol...seriously
I never heard that UNLV story, that's fkn pricelessComment -
#13brandon link (his real name) never played college ball. he played in some rec league (similar to ymca) before supposedly injuring his knee and joining the navy. he claims he was recruited by unlv during their championship heyday but it's 100% bs.
the part about him moving to ny to work for walter abrams (stu feiner) is real. that's about the only truth in the entire movie. also the parts where his clients went broke are probably real too since he's the worst handicapper in the world.
lang tried to cash in on the movie by selling picks as lang but after 5 years & losing 4000 dimes (including 550 dimes on the colts ml in sb vs. saints), he left to join another outfit run by a crook named eddie roman. after a year of making up fake dimes to the tune of 900 dimes, he was sued by budin (his old boss who owns his name & website) for breaching his contract. he lost that too. so instead of paying $200k judgement, he crawled back to his old site where he proceeded to lose drop another 1000 dimes.
the latest word is that he was fired by budin, his ugly tranny wife left him and his house is in foreclosure. he is now back to working as a caddy full time. this has not been confirmed, but it is suspicious that he hasn't made a video in weeks.Comment -
#14i actually think the unlv story was in his bio awhile backComment -
#15He actually wrote an autobiography called Beating the Odds. I read it a couple of years ago and seem to remember the UNLV story. The book seemed like it was full of s**t (imagine that), but an entertaining read.

#17Brandon Lang is a loser and a liar.
The only part in the movie that is believable was when Lang was urinated on. Loltastic.Comment -
#18Also the part where he bankrupts his clients. That is truthful.
Their is a 1000+ page thread @ the RX forum, where Langs plays were documented for the use of fading. The thread ran one whole fiscal year, and had to be shutdown do too the influx of traffic to the forum servers.
I faeded hard that year to the tune of 3k.

#23He used to appear on Philly comcast every football season FridayComment -
#24texH, let me tell you the fadxe became so good that we strted fading 1stH and game. And it worked. Or if that team covered first H, then we would fade 2wndH. It was just a magical season.
He ended the year with a 500 Dimer on the Colts over the saints in the SuperBowl.
I'm getting goosebumps thinking about it.
It was not even cashing tickets that was the fun part. It was the confidence I would making the bets that were all based on fades. WhoaaaComment -
#25he used to appear on dennis miller's hbo show and give out football picks. and every week miller would goof on him cause he never won.
