Apparently after the match last night the entire ceremony was done in Spanish...even when the US received their medals for playing. Howard was pissed because being in the US at the Rose Bowl he thought that CONCACAF should of included English in the ceremony. I'm sure this is going to roll out some interesting discussions.

#2Do you think it would have all been done in English if the USA had won in Mexico?Comment -
#3well if he didn't want to hear it in Spanish then the US should have done better and won.Comment -
#4Bottom line, Team USA only has themselves to blame for the ceremony being in Spanish.Comment -
#5Exactly what Tim Howard said and I quote "You can bet your ass that if we were in Mexico City, it wouldn't be all in English."Comment -
#6I like Tim, plays w/ passion. Team has to do better. Maybe some of that early celebration and late venting should have been transmitted into gameplan after taking 2-0 lead.
Bradley more than 50/50 to be canned this week.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -
#7if it's in the US, it should - at minimum - be in both languages.Comment -
#8The dude has tourettes, you cant blame him for flipping outComment -
#9Los Angeles = Los MexicoComment -
#10I think there were more spanish speaking fans watching than english... im glad mexico won. i like dos santos and chicharito....awesome players.Comment -
#11What's the point when no one in the crowd speaks english.....Comment -
#12Thats funny, because after giving up FOUR f'n goals everyone else things he is a f'n disgraceComment -
#13Maybe if that jackass didn't let in four goals it could have been done in English. Anyways fuk him who cares what he thinks.Comment -
#14What's Howard's mailing address?
Want to ship him a case of Kleenex after Dos Santos gave him a huge "facial" in the 76th minute(LMAO)!Comment -
-
#16Realistically, the defenders in front of him looked totally lost. Wasn't a great sign when Cherundolo went down early. This was pretty bad though, especially with Mexico tryin to run up the score late.Comment -
#17Don't be a sore loser. Dude.Comment -
#18it should be in english, no other language. Fuking liberals.Comment -
#19He's just sore that he got played by Dos Santos. LOL. They should've won and they whiffed.Comment -
#20Howard has no right to complain about anything after that performance.Comment -
#21I agree with a majority of you guys...if anything they should of announced the US players in English, but the way Tim Howard played..which was help by the invisible backline, crap adjustments by a coach who is tactically inept, and big time players who disappear when they're needed (Cherundalo, Dempsey, Altidore) They deserved to be escorted out of the Rose Bowl with nothing.
The only positives out of that game yesterday were Donovan, surprisingly Freddy Adu, and Bradley. The entire organization needs an infusion of life. It's time to bring in a big name to shake things up...and that means no US retreads to run the team, get an international name who can put a flare into the team and not stand around like a dead fish. Then it's time to "thin the herd" and get rid of those who don't fit the system, which includes the big names if need be. The US has taken the Bradley Experiment as far as they can, and I most certainly believe you'll see him be replaced in the near future....as they have just enough time to shake it up before the World Cup qualifiying begins.Comment -
#22Howard didn't have a lot of help of defense. To give up goals so easily is what keeps the US on the second tier of world soccer.Comment -
-
#24should have been only in englishComment -
#25Agree, but US isn't even 2nd tier, In the World Rankings we're probably 3rd or 4th tier. Mexico outclassed the US yesterday with pure speed and ability. Dos Santos and Chicarito showed how subpar some of our "stars" truly are.Comment -
#26Who cares? It's soccer!Comment -
#27To be fair it did look pretty grimey doing the ceremony in Spanish on U.S soil. Not only that but this thing was televized worldwide and English is the "official" international language.
This is a sign of how dominant the latino community is becoming and soon we'll be the ones needing to learn Spanish.Comment -

#29i watch the mexican womenComment -
#30The two centrebacks for the US team were too slow. When you have fast guys like Chicharito you need a fast centreback to defend them and not the two meatballs the US had playing yesterday. Howard was right to be mad.Last edited by pavyracer; 06-26-11, 11:51 AM.Comment -
#31Basically he came home to his wife being pounded by the gardner and when he complained she spoke to him in spanish
Douche bag!
I dont care if he was the only defender on the field - you let 4 mexicans go ball deep on you buddyComment -
#32Foreign language officially used on American soil. War is imminent.Comment -
#33wow didnt know people in u.s watched soccerComment -
#34English but I could care less about the American "State of Sports"...I've have better things to worry about like keeping off my land and from coming across the border. 30-30Comment -
