Google it,I think it's being made by another brewer like Pabst? That is if Pabst is still brewed by Pabst?Same thing happened with Strohs where it was a great beer and the outfit went under where I'm not sure if they make that anymore. It's so friggin hard to compete against the couple remaining mega brewing companies these days.Rolling Rock and Leinenkugel's found a way to do it.
This is weird.Anyone remember the Hamm's beer bear commercials, from the land of sky blue waters? The lake where the ads were shot is 5 minutes from my house and I have lived here all my life ''48 years'' and never knew that.Hamm's was a very, very good beer in it's heyday. The problem is, when another brewery buys the label from the out of business brewer, they usually change the recipe.
When is the last time you've seen someone drink a Pabst Blue Ribbon?
Imagine busting out a 30-Pack of that sh1t at a party or something. People will start looking at you like your a f!@#ing alien. Forget p!@#sy for the night......
I saw Schlitz in 40oz form at a local 7-11 a few years ago.

Oakas, yes and no. The original Olympia beer brewed in Tumwater Washington was shut down in 2003. The brand is owned now by Pabst and has contracted Miller Brewing to produce it out of their Irwindale California plant. So you can still get an Oly but it's not the same stuff

Damn. Oly was by far my favorite beer in my college days. There was nothing better than an ice cold Oly.

hey.....kids still use it to play beer pong lol. nasty as hell but its cheap?
I still see it in the 24 oz cans next to Steel Reserve 211, have to be wasted already to get either down...horrid aftertaste
I buy Steele Reserve all the time. It's an acquired taste and not for the faint of heart.99 cents for the 24 ounce tall boys but in reality,it's like drinking double that alcohol percentage wise.I swear that 4 of them packs the punch of a normal 12 pack.If you want to catch a quick buzz, buzz on over to the Steel Reserve in the liquor store.
If there was such a thing as product placement back when Sanford and Son was made, they would have had alot of Steel Reserve on the set. It's ghetto beer and a tall boy of Steel has more potency than a Colt 45 40 ouncer.Remember Fred Sanford's invention of Champipple?Ripple and Champale mixed I believe which was a bogus champaigne you could get for a buck a bottle.
What ghetto hood spoof movie was it where every second of the movie you could see 40 ouncers in it?Whatever the characters did or where they went there were 40 ouncers.I'm not into black movies but that was one funny hilarious movie. It was full of stereotypes. It had the nutso Koreans owning the convenience store where they would die for catching someone stealing a bag of chips. Then they had a pasty faced white guy that set the black guys up for taking the rap on everything. They called him the man!My kind of sense of humor.
