specifically Nashville, what is the real estate market like currently? I'm looking for a 3 or 4 bedroom, 2 car garage with a fenced backyard (pool is optional) and basement. TIA.
was born in tennessee and went to college at tennessee tech which is about hour from nashville in cookeville. Cookeville when i was there in 98 was the cheapest city to live in the U.S. I still have a lot of friends in Nashville. Your best bet is the Antioch or Hendersville Areas, Mt Juliet which is a little east of there is nice also. Pricing is very very reasonable for a bigger city. Hope you like county music and lots of southern women . Make sure you go to tootsies for me
i know Southhaven, Mississippi is one of the fastest growing areas around there, though thats just south of Memphis..
Thanks but this has to be Nashville (area) since my sister's job in Seattle (area) is finished after January 15, 2009 and she's been offered a similar job there (Nashville). Just looking out for her and her children - you know, trying to be the good brother (at least for a while) towards her.
mt juliet i heard is a good family place its about 8 miles east on I-40 just east of the airport. Have her look into that area. Nashville is great family town

Many thanks I'll be forwarding her your posts (id removed) and then she can make that choice. Again thanks for some insight.
Great city and beautiful state. Almost forgotten in the surveys of the best places to live. Would love to have a joint on the Tenn River. Take a boat ride up to the stadium for college game day. Good fishing in there too.
Forwarded the info to my sister and she wanted to pass along thanks for helping out. So, "Thanks for helping out." Hope she'll find something that meets her needs.
If she's not already married, tell her to look for a guy with his own place in Brentwood. If she is married, tell her to only fool around with guys that own property or live in Brentwood.
