I grew up watching the guy on tv and saw him a couple times when he showed up locally in the hinterlands to wrestle.Every kid I know imitated his wrestling gouge holds and to this day there are probably grown men walking around with wounds they received as kids because of him.He was one mean dude!He got fed up working at the Detroit Ford plant and turned to pro wrestling.
