If anything I was matching you for the condescension in your post. If the guy wasn't Chinese, it would've been declared very loudly by now. But it's all good... I said it a week ago: I don't care if the guy is a rainbow coloured giraffe. He's now made me watch yet another full NBA game this year in a season I didn't give a crap about. And I think he played wonderfully, even with his TO's. Although considering he played 46mins - which is pretty crazy - I'll forgive him those 7. Some day we'll get over all of this race stuff in sport. Probably not in our life times but maybe by the time our kids understand it all. I hope at least

Good job, guys. Another big win for political correctness.

Chink in the armor is a common sports-related phrase.

I highly doubt it was intentional; just a horrible coincidence.

Asian women are sexy. It isn't just about them probably being tighter, I like slender women and they have sexy bodies, nice hair, lots of them have nice faces.

Again, "chink in the armor" is a common phrase in sports and, when not thought out ahead of time, I can absolutely see how this might just be an accidental and horrible coincidence when discussing Lin. It's not like "chink in the armor" is a stretch phrase taken totally out of context when discussing an athlete who seems perfect and then suddenly struggles.

Break that down for me. How would that work? Would he belittle her everyday and just call it foreplay?

Seriously though, if I guy marries an asian, I can't see any way you could say he was racist against asians.

Yeah, that makes sense. I'm sure ESPN would be in business long-term if this was their approach.

I hate ESPN but, like usual, you are clueless.

go read the book "espn: those guys have all the fun" (or wait for the movie) which tells the inner workings of espn and the bickering, backstabbing, sex, harrassment, rivalries, etc. that goes on behind the scenes there.

The limited-edition flavor, "Taste the Lin-Sanity," originally featured vanilla frozen yogurt, honey swirls and bits of fortune cookies, the latter ingredient serving as an obvious nod to Lin's heritage. After the backlash, the company pulled the cookies from the mix and replaced them with waffle cone pieces that will be served on the side.

It's not like "chink in the armor" is a stretch phrase taken totally out of context when discussing an athlete who seems perfect and then suddenly struggles.
i find it hilarious that with ur millions of conspiracy theories, u would quickly dismiss this as a simple mistake. when something is used as ur headline for anything, its obviously something that needs to attract the viewers attention. i findi it hard to believe that he used that phrase by mistake. they guy knew exactly what he was doing and deserved to be fired.

go read the book "espn: those guys have all the fun" (or wait for the movie) which tells the inner workings of espn and the bickering, backstabbing, sex, harrassment, rivalries, etc. that goes on behind the scenes there.

You could say that about every company.

Plus every "book" is exaggerated to sell.

Most people who are racist don't usually marry the race they have a hatred for. If they do it's incredibly unlikely they would go so far out of their way to be racist at their job place by using a racial slur in a headline. I think you are missing the point and more so are overestimating how many people actually marry races they hate.
