    hahahahahaha

Was the wordplay really that irresistible? Someone's getting fired. [Ed. note: According to Deadspin, ESPN has already apologized.]

I was OK with the fortune cookie. I was OK with the "AMASIAN" headline.

            This one made me cringe.

How many people does a headline have to go through before it gets selected for the front page?...

As usual ESPN is too stupid for words. I'd like to see them post a title next time a boxing match goes down wrong an a black guy loses with N**ger Rigged as the title ... see how long their HQ stays free from a fire bomb.

But chink is an actual word in the English language whereas the racial slur isn't. I mean, it's definitively on the cruder side of cheeky but comparing it to the N word is fukking ridiculous.

You have to wonder if it's a freudian slip or maybe he heard it from someone else and it carried over but I don't think he was trying to be racist. I've heard sportscasters use that to reference athletes' shortcomings before.

It was definitely a racist headline but yea, we can all be called something racist and all the names have different underlying meanings. A person who isn't black just can't use the word because it reflects on how black people's family were treated here not too long ago.

Someone should run a story 24/7 about how ESPN was wrong and should be held accountable and the story should get so inflated that they have to apologize and resign

Hmmmm, how many times at televised boxing matches have we heard the great white hope mentioned?Whenever an old saying has anything to do with a white Christian person,it's fair game.Just say whatever the F you feel like saying and don't care who you offend these days.Be like Obama where he can bail out GM and Chrysler and tell Mak Donald's they are immune from Obamacare.Same goes for Obama having shut out Boeing from moving some of their operations to South Carolina because they are a right to work state.Obama doesn't care if he blatantly discriminates so why should some silly ESPN editor care if he says some potentially politically incorrect pun?Obama's calculated intentional discriminitory actions hurts 100's of millions.Does Obama give an F or does he get called on the carpet over it?

It just goes to show how under represented Asians are in America. Getting cute with wordplay, while referring to an African American is a sure way to be fired. Or having to do a press conference explaining away your sins.

Now ESPN is deciding how to proceed. They fired Rush, so I wouldn't want to be the guy who put this one up for sure.
