Madden 10' and 11' (Larry Fitz and Drew Brees) broke that trend but Peyton Hillis (Madden 2012) brought the curse back

Drew Brees lost to Seahawks in the first round coming off the Superbowl though Fitzgerald decent year it was a split cover and Polamaluwas also on it and was cursed very bad by injuries and did not play much or make the Pro Bowl.

Of course there's no curse...a lot of people get injured in the NFL....

Guys like Eddie George, Marshall Faulk, and Shaun Alexander are Running Backs and clearly their stats were going to decline at their age.

2005 Cover was Ray Lewis...the supposed "curse" is that he got injured in week 15 with a wrist injury....

2009 Brett Favre....he didn't have good years in '05 and '06 did people really expect him to shine in '08...

The guys a 7th round pick...and has 1 decent year...and he wasn't even in the top 10 in rushing yards and had 8 fumbles...

I feel you the PS2 madden was so much more fun i felt like i had control of my defence, the new maddens suck no turbo, hard to control, very glitchy, new audible sytem sucks and its like they get worst every year. madden 2010 was the only one i moderately enjoyed for ps3.

It all depends on the size of the roster, and the scoring method, and the pick#. I grabbed Calvin 13th out of 14 people in a big pool, and ended up coming in second overall. First round RBs this year are few and far in between, so no point reaching...but we digress. Congrats Calvin, but a big letdown for FF players.
