    Eagles pass rush/bears o-line???
now i'm new to nfl handicapping..and it is a humbling game, as we've seen today...But what I don't get about the eagles/bears game and line, is how are the bears gonna protect orton?

I live in Chicago, and all preseason and early season all i've heard on talk radio and seen in the papers is how horrible and untalented this bears o-line really is.

I'm a steelers fan, and i've seen big ben get sacked alot in recent years, but i've never seen a team bring it like, the eagles did on sunday night against the stillers last week.

now pittsburgh's o-line is not good either..but they gotta be better then chicago's right?

ok, so if you didn't see the eagles game last week... the 8 sacks on Ben and 9 overall don't tell the whole story... there were at least 3 plays where Big ben had so much pressure, he stepped up in the pocket and got tackled for a 1 yard gain... but essentially a sack.... he also got knocked down about 7 times as well.

All told the steelers dropped back to pass 41 times and got sacked 9 times... almost 25% of the time.

now Big Ben I think takes more sacks then normal due to him holding onto the ball a bit long somtimes, but he also escapes more sacks then most nfl quarterbacks, because he is so big and strong he is able to shrug off defenders alot of the time, plus he is deceptively moble...... How is little Orton gonna do against that?

Finally... the eagles stop the run big time... they've held barber, jackson, and willie parker to like 120 yards combined!!! so where does the bears points come from?

on top of that.... the eagles secondary is supposed to be pretty good too right?

have you seen the bear's receivers? none of their receivers would be a number 2 or maybe even a number 3 receiver on any other nfl team...

where do the bears come up with points in this game? i know they are a good defense, but are they really gonna match the eagles point for point minus a field goal? unless hester/special teams, and the defense makes some big turnover plays into points, I can't see it happening....

how do y'all see the game playing out?
