Short of the World Cup itself, the week prior is always interesting..... instead of one poker promo bubble, we have four separate bubbles, usually affecting a total of 20-30 players who could possibly get shot off the moon, or slip in with a seriously hot run........
having been the 12th team member on a team a few times, I know it makes things fun when suddenly you have to give a flying liplock on a fukstick about how six other players finish on a given day.......
One year in particular I had a 20 pt lead at the 12th hole on the final day of qualifiers, played the 2 pm, then unbelievably watched like five guys behind me within range all fail to knock my donk ass out.....
and another year remember how someone on a team pulled the ultimate fail after leading the standings the first half of the promo, only to wind up losing a seat on the final day on his team........ most epic collapse this side of the 1964 Phillies.....
