Straight Flush at the Golden Nugget
Since this forum is about as dead as can be…I thought I’d jump in and brag about my straight flush at the Nugget in Vegas yesterday. Unfortunately it was one of the lower Bonus Payouts ($166) but I’ll take it. Sent a pic to Philly, so maybe he’ll post it.

Was a tight group of mostly older men playing. Most of them had stacks around $100 or so…lol. Luckily a couple of looser players showed up and I hit some hands. Only put in 3 hrs and made a little over $600. I was happy and went had dinner with the wife.

Speaking of the wife….she hit about a $2900 3 card poker hand. AKQ of diamonds was 500-1 on the progressive ($5 bet).

So it’s been a fun trip so far….but would definitely like an SBR poker trip like we did before some time in the near future. With the wife, it’s hard to spend 10 hrs a day at the table grinding.

Cool! What limit were you playing? Did you hit it early or on the River?

Our main hotel is The Mirage on the strip. Also booked 2 night at 4 Queens since it was a free offer with no resort fees. That way have we could have two home bases. We had free nights at Golden Nugget as well, but we would have had to pay the resort fee.

Ended up sleeping downtown one night…but played down there almost two days.

The odds on the strip have gotten horrible. Hard to find 3-2 BJ unless you are willing to pay $100 a hand.

Flopped 2, 3 hearts (was holding 4,5). Turn was the A hearts….sweet feeling.

Today is a nice lunch at the Venetian (already done) and nap day.

Tonight we are going to the MJ Cirque show at Mandalay. So not much gambling involved.

Mirage is nice. I'd love to go back there before the rebranding. I'm guessing your room at the 4 Queens isn't on the Fremont St. Experience, otherwise you wouldn't be sleeping there before 2AM.

Have fun at the Cirque show... it's lame how stingy casinos are getting with table game rules. I was in Encore Boston Harbor today and it's all 6:5 blackjack with sucker side bets. The poker rake is 10% to $10 with 60 cents an hour in comps. At least Vegas isn't ripping off poker players like that... yet.
