Makes no sense at all. Unless the $$ is Funny Money. The dollars are irrelevant.

    1) I understand the Open. I understand the Raise.

    2) I know players love AQs. If you're Keating, isn't this a Call? You have to think Mike is the biggest Fish alive to think you're dominating his hand.

    3) In response to a 4-bet, how tight does your range have to be? In my mind, AKo shrinks and is folded. Your Pocket Pair can't possibly be in the lead. Another bet should fold out JJ but that's it.

    4) Keating is last to act. He's calling $0.8M to win $1.4M. Can you possibly think +175 = fair calling odds? Opponent range has to be air-tight. UNLESS it's this exact opponent!

I know two players who hate AQ.
    Me and Doyle.

I don't know how many times a King on the flop or turn dicked me.

If I'm on position, I'll play K9 off, or even something like K7 suited, providing I can get in relatively easy.

Agree, Nashy. Domination is such a key part of Hold-Em. In my parlance, AQ winds up in JAIL so often.

Keating commented on the hand after. Said that he was stuck and didn't want to Fold. In fairness to him, I imagine that he would only make that call against loose-box Texas Mike.

I like your logic on the lower Kx hands. I've been studying Solver solutions and thinking about alternate plays. OLDER GUYS love to play Broadway cards. If you spike a middling card on your kicker (like 7 or 9 you reference), your hand strength is going to look so hidden.

Solver actually loves to play 77 or K7 FAST as an overplay. IE, those hands DON'T play well post-flop. But they can make good hands. If you over-play those hands, you're going to fold out a good # of better hands.

I've been watching some of the high stake's games on Twitch and Poker Go, some of these payers are entering pots with like 2-5 suited, shit I call 'auto muck', hands I don't even think about playing.

I used to have success playing tight/aggro, now. not so much.

Nashy, will give a few comments on this. I can say that certain hands become IN VOGUE in the poker community. If it shows up as +EV on a simulation, it gains credibility.

            1) Go back some years. A5s/A4s gained a lot of steam as a Semi-bluff.
...People would mix it into their Premium hand range. Chance to hit the Steel Wheel.

            2) In recent years, I'm hearing more about Suited Kings.
...If you make your Flush, you have the 2nd Nuts and are almost always good.
...If the King hits the board, you can rep AK and put pressure on opponents.

            3) I would say that I've seen SOME rise in popularity on the Suited Wheel cards.
            ...So, hands like 52s, 54s, 43s etc.
...I actually played a hand recently with 54s. I turned Two Pair, and there's no way anyone thought I held that hand.
...The one that is gaining more steam = 65s. It has to do with the connectivity to the Wheel. There are some boards where the SIX becomes the key card. Think 432 boards.
...There are some boards where Ax can make the Wheel, and that hand may feel nutted. If there is a 6x hand that makes the TOP end of the Straight, then the Ax hand that made the bottom-end is hung out to dry.

Nashy, watch this hand. Liu makes a TERRIBLE open. BB has to be good 96% of the time.

She hits her hand. So, everyone will call her a genius. GMAFB:

                I've actually seen that video.
I'll enter the pot with an Ace and suited wheel card almost always, off suit A-wheel card I'll limp in most every time.
