Tammy_G and I have been checking out SBR for a little while and are very happy to be new admins here! We will be hanging out in the community and getting to know all of you, and hopefully having some fun along the way.
SBR has rolled out some exciting additional contests for you this month and we would like to add a poker tournament to the mix. We both play and enjoy poker so we were happy to see there are quite a few members at SBR who play as well.
We want to host a $300 online poker tournament to get things started and we would love to get your input on it before we set it up. Here are some suggestions from us, but feel free to provide feedback!
$300 SBR Poker Tournament (we can use Amazon and paypal to pay prizes)
Location: PokerStars Home Games (unless you have better suggestions of course)
Date: This is where I need your help. Weekends are probably best due to work schedules during the week. But I also know we have College football on Saturdays and NFL on Sundays. What are your thoughts - and could we look at the last weekend in Sept?
Time: Most of you are likely spread across 5 time zones. What is the optimal time of day that would work for the most members?
Game type: NLHE is probably the most popular and the best choice for our first tournament - do you agree?
Format: Do you prefer deep stacks, short stacks and what about blind levels?
Who can play? We would like to invite all SBR members who are interested in poker
Payouts: That is easier to decide once we know approximately how many players we will have, but let us know if you have anything you want to suggest
