    SBR Poker FAQ
    Windows Users

    Download SBRpoker.

The software keeps running the auto-update.
If the SBR Poker icon is on your desktop, right-click the icon and click Run As Administrator. If you still cannot download the update after trying this & momentarily disabling antivirus, fully reinstall the application.

How do I get my points back into my forum wallet?

Close the poker lobby. Your points will be auto-applied to your wallet within minutes. If 20 minutes pass and the adjustment was not made, log into the lobby, then close it again.

The software disconnects me in the middle of a hand.

If you are having disconnect issues, please run the following Ping Test (click San Jose, Costa Rica). Then PM or e-mail the results. Also include the internet type you are running (DSL/Cable/Dial-up), and whether you are playing on a wireless network.

The tourney started but I wasn't seated.
Close and reopen the lobby to be auto-seated.

What days & hours is the SBR Poker Room open?

24/7 except for occasional Sunday maintenance.

    Q:
Does SBR Poker work directly on a Mac computer?

    A:
No, right now Windows is the only operating system supported but Mac users can choose from any one of the following options to play SBR Poker on their machine:
    • Boot Camp: Install a copy of Windows on your Mac.
    • Wine: Wine is a free, open source application that works by converting the application extension.
    • Crossover: This is a relatively cheap program that one SBR Poster has reported works. It works similar to Wine.
    • Parallels: A virtual emulator can be used to run Windows. This is probably the worst of the options since it is more resource intensive and slower than the others. The other options on this list would run the application at Windows speed.

Do you have to be a Pro to play on the poker client? Or can I save 10 points and play in one of the tournaments?

Where do I bring the poker points to roll them over.
I can't bring them to cash tables.

Hi, I can't seem to find any email from you about this. Someone wrote in 2 hours prior asking the same question but it was under a different account name.

But to answer your question: Yes, they expire in a 180 day rolling period from the time they were last played. Seems the link is broken in here so I'll get someone to fix it as I'm out at the moment.

Yeah, I just sent an email to SBR the other night as Shari just mentioned, email below,

I just logged into the SBR Poker program and noticed a bunch of my rollovers are gone, I had a really big one I think it was like a 8k rollover that is now missing. I hope they didn't expire or something because I was never given any kind of notice or anything, ever since I started my new job I haven't had much time to play, I was hoping they could be restored so I could play them. I think this is a reasonable request especially since I was never sent out any email/PM warning me they would expire. Could you help me out here?
SBR responded and basically said I'm screwed and sent me this link (http://forum.sbrforum.com/poker/2217...oints-faq.html). I think 180 days is more then reasonable but this expiration time is not listed anywhere except on that thread above that was posted in March . I was never sent any PMs/emails letting me know my rollovers were about to expire, and there is nothing listed in the SBR poker program notifying/warning you of any kind of expiration time on your rollovers. I had a few big rollovers, one was like a 8k rollover from a big tourney win and now that's gone. What do you think Shari, doesn't it seem like I'm getting shafted here? Is it that hard for SBR to restore my rollovers so I can play them out? I'm a very understanding guy, if there was any kind of notice in the SBR poker program or anything sent out to me and I forgot about it or something then I'd have no complaints here, that would be my fault. But that rule is listed in some obscure poker thread, like I'm suppose to read everything in the poker forum or something.....hopefully SBR makes amends here, I think my complaint is valid/logical.

Yes. If you cash in tourney (poker pts) you then can take them to the ring tables for a 3x rollover to try and turn them into regular SBR pts.

FYI: You can not buy into a ring game w/sbr pts as a non pro. And, daily tourneys will take a lil hiatus until World Cup is over and the next poker series starts. GL

Are players only allowed one tournament per day? That would seem the fair thing to do for the working people who can't play 3 a day Monday through Friday

It's likely not something to worry about when it comes to malware or anything of the like, but until I can run Poker straight up on Mac I won't be able to participate. Sucks too, for a while there a few years ago I was a daily regular.
