I saw them live in 1998 or 99 at an outdoor venue in Nashville, the Doobie Brothers was the opening act and they were who I went to see.
I had always liked Chicago, but they were not in my top 20 favorites then after seeing them in concert live I had a newfound respect for them and they moved way up my list of favorite bands.
My brother -in- law worked for ticket master at the time, and for once he got us great seats

CI was great
Chicago PD my absolute favorite.
Voigt is super bad ass.

Me too on liking Stabler more in OC, never really realized it. I feel you on the smirk, SVU vibes are kinda weird, Stabler hating on pervs and trying to crush them, punching lockers. Never really got into CI that much, don't remember it that well, do remember liking Vincent D'onofrio. Haven't given any of the Chicago shows a try yet, my mother vouches for them.

I like the single arc format of OC, allows more for character development. Even seems like SVU is also implementing more an arch across episodes and the season.
