Has Anyone Bought a Windows 11 Computer yet?

was thinking about it what's the price on a unit you think is good? Do they not have free updates at some point?

Prices for a new HP are all over the board .... This HP was a Windows 7 model that was able to upgrade with no issues (free) to Windows 10. It's at least 6-7 years old, so I'd be happy with a couple more years before buying a new one with W 11. First thing to do is go to your computer's "SETTINGS".. From there click on "Windows Update" You should see a notice from Microsoft telling you if your present model will do a Windows 11 update. Or it may say "check Health". Since I got one freebie some years ago, not going to push the issue. For an HP, you can pay from a $300 to $2K.. I just get a middle of the road model..

Windows 11 is the shit, it's so Android friendly, but it's still a work in progress

My Lenovo is six years old, my backup is also six years old, both Windows 10.
Both machines are very healthy still, battery and everything so I have no need to replace either. Yet.

Both are NOT windows 11 compatible.
I'm not buying a new laptop for the sake of updating OS when I don't have to. Yet
I'll wait six more months, by then Microsoft will have tweaked all the bells and whistles.

Funny thing about Microsoft, it's like a love/hate thing with me.
20 years ago I loved them, eight years ago I hated them, now I love them again.

The Surface family are solid machines, but a tad pricey.
I'll stay with Lenovo with MS software, or maybe custom build one but that's such a pain in the ass.

I'll probably wait longer than 6 months to buy, if these computers hold up that I have now, but likely not more than a year or so. Let us know which Levono you decide on. I may get that over an HP. (HP's has W11 already for sale on their website). What this dummy likes about them is their customer service has solved my problems in the past with no hassle.

My Windows 10 laptop is compatible for 11, so I'll upgrade as soon as they offer it.
