We know you still have plenty of questions about the future of the SBR Forums, and of the site in general. We’d like to share some of the exciting initiatives we’re working on, while also responding to some of your most pressing concerns.
First and foremost, we want to emphasize that we have a solid and dedicated long-term plan built around embracing legalized sportsbooks within North America. This strategy will allow us to grow SBR into one of the industry leaders, leveraging the extensive knowledge and experience of the site’s moderators and power posters while also opening the doors for the millions of new sports bettors that are expected to enter the market in 2022 and beyond.
Community engagement and growth is a must. We know that the SBR Forums are a place that many of you have called home for years – like the pub on the corner, where great memories have been forged and meaningful friendships have been made. We will continue to support the forums and the shared experience they foster, while at the same time seeking new and exciting opportunities to connect the rapidly expanding sports betting community.
Many of you are concerned about the future of BetPoints. You can rest assured that they are going to remain part of our long-term strategy. We want to be absolutely sure that we’re improving the usage and value of these BetPoints so that you, the consumer, are getting the most out of them. And if you have any suggestions on how we can enhance the BetPoints experience, we’re happy to listen.
There has also been questions about contests – specifically the NCAA Bowl contest. We’re happy to announce that it will run as scheduled this year! More details will be available very soon.
In short, we plan to invest – and we welcome your feedback in figuring out where and how to do so. And that not only goes for the forums, but for the rest of Sportsbook Review, as well.
The SBR Picks pages have already undergone a bit of a facelift, and will continue to do so as we look for the best ways to engage with the betting public through our content. Look for more experimental features geared more toward making bettors smarter than simply offering picks – and we’ll be looking for ways to get the SBR Forum faithful involved, as well, with the potential for paid content opportunities.
We’ll be investing in high-end technology that will not only make our odds pages more reliable, but will also enable us to build new experiences around these odds. We recognize that SBR’s odds page has been its greatest and most popular feature – and we intend on giving SBR users the best odds experience possible.
Lastly, the sportsbook reviews themselves need to become a larger part of what brings people into SBR (and keeps them here). Our plan is to revamp our sportsbook reviews with the customer in mind – and ensure that all sportsbooks are held to the highest standard in the industry. We will advocate for the sports bettor – and as you can see from our initial grades for the top U.S. sportsbooks, the bar is high.
We can’t thank you enough for your patience during what has been a mammoth transition process for everyone involved. We are hard at work resolving any outstanding technical and logistical issues, and our top priority moving forward is to make sure that you feel appreciated and valued as members of the SBR community – whether through improved odds experiences, new and exciting contests, a revamped BetPoints strategy, or other enhancements to the site.
Look for more updates in the weeks to come, and as always, don’t hesitate to reach out via PM or to any of the moderators if you have any questions, concerns or suggestions.
Thanks for giving us your time, and have a great week!
Very lovely post!! I tried telling you doubters that John would never sell to dirtbags. He knows what he's doing.
But this is a mammoth undertaking with a huge learning curve so things will just take time for everyone to figure out.
Be patient and things will come good... after talking to the bigwigs last week I have no doubt all will be well. Just have to wait until we can get resourced enough to scale back up to where we used to be and beyond

Thanks.
I based my opinion off of the at length conversations (well maybe not that lengthy) chats I've had with yourself, Opti, and others.
You guys are not dopey, far from it.
You guys have always been on top of things in the past, you gave me no reason to doubt.
And no, this is not some suck up job on my part, because I have no reason to suck up as I have no agenda.
Zero.
Just calling it as I see it.

I don't care about most of SBR's stuff. What I want to know is what is Shari's role in all this and how is she going to fare?

And what have I been trying to say to you the past few months.
"All will be fine, take a wait and see attitude"
Sorry if I'm coming across as "Told you so" guy.
I am sorry to tell you that I have been saying all along that things were going to be fine. That this was not the final version. Nothing close. The owners had big plans.
But what I am also telling you is that plans ain't gonna work and they are not going to just give you money.

It seems bizarre to me that the new owners of the forum have not introduced themselves to the forum. It doesn't bother me but again, almost one knows who the individual, individuals, or institutions are that bought SBR.
Rather than typing 3 pages it would make more sense to actually introduce the individuals/institution that bought SBR and talk about you intentions.
The decision to pull pending orders for the store with zero communication was handled horrendously.- again I'm talking about the new owners not the moderators who are obviously not in a position to make decisions.
I had no pending orders and I don't have any, but that was not handled properly at all.
It seems like it would make much more sense to simply state who the individual or companies are that purchased SBR and state what their vision for the future is, also stating specific on issues like the store. Again, this isn't something I care about much, but the handling by the new owners has been horrendous.
Again, this is not a statement about anyone other than the new owners, obviously the moderators have no power here.
All I ask is that you keep the forums useable for legacy PC users. There are still millions of us who prefer to use PC's
and not mobile. Many of us have older PC's with legacy Windows operating systems and browsers.

bobby... being they were brought up and the post even nominated, please give a review of your farts. When reviewing your farts, please up your game and do better than SUBPAR.
TIA
p.s. -- GREAT JOB, Walker! GREAT JOB, SBR!! GREAT JOB, FormerSBRGaby & SBRDoug!!!!
You said betpoints would be part of your future long term strategy, but what about the current points balances? Maybe I didn’t read carefully enough but this is a big question for several long time pros that didn’t seem to get answered.
